Author's Notes: This is yet another fic based off an RPG my friends and I play. During the RP, Olwen and Secunda encountered a female Mordel who literally fainted in Olwen's arms due to a serious injury she had gained on the way there. Olwen took her home and Secunda healed her, then Olwen took her to her brother... after badgering her with questions to find out what she wanted with him.
Dedication: For Vash and Shadow's Mirror. I promised I'd write a non-naughty fic so here it is! *smiles sweetly*

Secunda bit his lip as he looked at the female standing on the front step of the little house where he lived with Olwen, their two kittens, a bunny and a sentient houseplant. To have a female at their door was strange in itself - most of the females they knew were well aware of Olwen's dislike of their sex so were careful to stay away from him - but this particular female was even more unusual a visitor.
"Greetings Secunda, is Olwen at home?" Arlisse blushed and looked very shy.
Secunda fought back the wave of lustful interest that caught him by surprise as he looked at her. Ever since he'd learned his kind could only have little ones with others of his own race - this shy and sweet Mordel female had fascinated him. He forced himself to concentrate on her question. "Aye. But he is... resting." He tried to keep his voice down, but the low growl from behind him meant that he hadn't succeeded. Sometimes he swore Olwen's hearing was more acute than it should be.
"I will see her."
Secunda had to take a few seconds to decide if he had really heard Olwen say that or not. Deciding that his ears were not playing tricks on him, he silently stood back and allowed Arlisse to enter. As she passed him and removed her cloak, he couldn't resist glancing down her body. Not for the first time, he caught himself thinking what a beautiful female she was. He quickly turned away and closed the door, silently telling himself off for having such thoughts.
Arlisse headed for the far side of the room - where Olwen was lying down on his bed - and Secunda followed close behind her. He tried his best not to watch the way her bottom and hips swayed slightly as she walked, but the view was almost hypnotising. Only the knowledge that Olwen was watching gave Secunda the strength to look away as they reached the bed.
Olwen scowled at the female and Secunda winced. He had hoped that Olwen had forgotten the events of the previous night. Apparently not.
Perhaps the way he'd smiled and winked at her had been a little much. He had been halfway drunk at the time. But that was meaningless to Olwen. Since she was female, it was obviously her fault. Even though Secunda had been the one doing all the flirting. That was just how Olwen thought. He disliked and mistrusted all females. As he was currently ten times grumpier than normal, due to the fever he was fighting, he obviously wouldn't be in the mood to forgive her for leading his lover astray, either.
"What do you want?"
Yes, Olwen was definitely far grumpier than normal. Secunda was impressed at how calmly Arlisse took the question. Most females would have cringed at the Dark Elf's low growl, but she just smiled shyly and blushed a little more deeply.
"Yesterday, you asked me a question I was unable to answer at the time. I have the answer now."
It took Secunda a minute to place what question she was talking about and he could tell from Olwen's frown that he was having trouble with the same thing. Then he remembered. "You mean when he asked you what you planned to do once you had found your brother?"
Arlisse looked at Secunda as she nodded. She looked back at Olwen and bit her lip. "Aiden and I have spoken together, as well as with our Atar and Atara. We have decided on our paths."
Olwen's frown deepened and Secunda easily followed his thoughts - for once. He too was surprised at how quickly the female had grown accustomed to using the elven words for her parents, rather than the Mordel words she and Aiden had originally used. But then again, there was a lot about Arlisse that was quite surprising and unusual... and lovely... No, better not to think of that now...
Fortunately Arlisse continued speaking, so Secunda had something to distract his overly eager mind with.
"Aiden will be staying at the Crystal House, for now. Atar and Atara wish to give the elves a little more time to get used to seeing them around, then they plan to ask Lady Elfin if there is somewhere in the city that they can live more permanently. As for me..." Arlisse blushed very deeply.
Secunda eyed the female thoughtfully. Whatever Arlisse was about to say, it obviously made her very happy. Her eyes were almost glowing with sheer joy.
"I have adopted four female spritelings. It is official now. I am their Atara. There are two males, also, who have an Atar already. He believes the children should be kept together and I agree. They are the only ones of their kind on this world, so it would be lonely for them, otherwise. We are going to give the children some time to get used to this world and then Aire and I shall ask Lady Elfin if there is a place in the city where we might make our home, as a family." Her blush deepened.
Secunda wasn't sure he'd heard that right. "The one you speak of... he is a human, is he not?" At Arlisse's nod, he frowned. "But our kind cannot..." He trailed off in confusion.
Arlisse looked just as confused for a few seconds before her eyes went wide and she blushed deep red. "Oh! No! We shall not be... I mean..." She took a deep breath that seemed to calm her. "No. We shall not have that sort of relationship. We shall only be living together. The males need an Atara and the females need an Atar. It seemed to be the best way for us to both be with them all to care for them. We shall have others..." Her face was scarlet as she bit her lip and looked away.
Secunda wasn't sure why he felt so relieved - and he thought it best not to think about it too much just then. Instead, he looked at Olwen to see his reaction. He sighed inwardly at the bored look on the other male's face.
"Why do you tell us this?" Olwen frowned at Arlisse, who smiled shyly back at him.
"Because you asked me yesterday of my plans."
"For the male."
If Secunda hadn't already been certain that Olwen was still suffering from the fever he had been struck down with two nights before - his clarification of what he had meant would have decided it.
Olwen never explained himself.
Again, Secunda was impressed that Olwen's directness didn't make Arlisse so much as blink. He watched her smile shyly and blush and wondered if Olwen was feeling too ill to make love with him after she left.
If he was, then Secunda had a feeling he'd be heading off to the bathhouse to find some relief.
"When a female comes of age, she must decide on a design to use as her mark. This is mine." Arlisse slipped her dagger from its sheath as she spoke and held the hilt out so Olwen could see the design engraved into it. She was careful to keep her movements slow and non-threatening and Secunda smiled a little - his estimation of her rising a little more.
Olwen nodded once. Secunda wasn't sure, but he thought Olwen looked a little curious about what that had to do with her plans for her brother.
"I shall tell you both a secret. Something only my family knows." Arlisse smiled as she traced the design with one finger. "I did not create this design. Aiden did."
That came as a surprise to Secunda and he could tell from Olwen's arched eyebrow that it had come as a shock to the other male as well. "Aiden?"
Arlisse nodded and blushed, looking shy again. "It is not really a design. It is just fancy Elven writing. The first letters of our names. Aiden..." she traced the first half of the design, "... and Arlisse." She traced the rest of the design. "Joined together as my brother and I are bound together by blood. It is not my mark... it is ours."
Now that she'd pointed the letters out, Secunda was surprised he hadn't realised it before.
"Hn." Olwen looked bored again.
Arlisse looked at Olwen and her expression was suddenly a little sad. "I had to claim Aiden. It was the only way to keep him with us. To keep him safe. That meant he had to bear my mark. I was supposed to choose where he would be marked but... I thought he should choose instead. He did so."
Secunda frowned. He knew that it was unheard of for a female to allow her male to choose where he was marked. But then, he had already known that Arlisse was very different from most Mordel females.
"Aiden chose to bear the mark over his heart, as a sign of our link to each other as well as my claim over him." Arlisse smiled a little. "That link shall always be there. He is my brother. I am his sister. That shall never change. My claim over him, however, is no more."
Olwen looked sharply at Arlisse and Secunda couldn't blame him. He was a little surprised too. It was very rare for a Mordel female to free a male she had claimed. Trade to another female - yes - but not set free entirely.
Arlisse looked at Olwen and her eyes were suddenly very sad. "I was going to ask the healers here if they could remove the mark from Aiden, but I learned last night that it is special. To remove such a mark is possible... but very painful. I do not wish Aiden to be hurt. I spoke with my brother about it and he wishes it to remain. He bears it with pride. He wears it over his heart, for I am in his heart."
Secunda smiled slightly. There was something beautiful in that. From Olwen's scowl though, it was clear he disagreed.
"He is a fool." The very grumpy Dark Elf scowled even more deeply as Arlisse smiled at him.
"Then... I am one as well."
Secunda gasped as Arlisse lifted her hands to the front of her tunic and began to undo the buttons.
Olwen frowned at her but remained silent.
Secunda hoped Olwen would continue to remain silent - at least until Arlisse was finished. He found his eyes straying to her hands as her fingers nimbly worked her buttons free and was aware of his mouth becoming strangely dry.
Just like it did whenever he watched Olwen undress when they were about to do something naughty.
When her tunic was half unbuttoned, Arlisse paused and Secunda forced himself to bite back the groan he felt rising in his throat. Then she pushed the side of her tunic aside and Secunda forgot all about his lust in his shock at what he was seeing.
There - tattooed above Arlisse's heart - was the same mark that her brother bore.
Arlisse blushed deeply as she buttoned her tunic again. Her voice was as soft as a whisper. "Now the mark truly stands for the bond we share in blood, for we share the mark as well."
Secunda was too stunned to do more than nod. He had never heard of such a thing happening before, but the way Arlisse had explained it... It made such perfect sense.
Olwen neither moved nor spoke as Arlisse restored her clothes to order. Secunda wondered whether he too had been stunned - since he wore his usual scowl it was hard to tell. As soon as Arlisse had closed the last button though, Olwen made his move.
He reached out and caught Arlisse's waist, then pulled her down onto him in one swift movement. Arlisse gasped in surprise as she landed on Olwen's chest. She turned her head to look at him and received an even bigger surprise.
Olwen kissed her.
Secunda almost fell over.
He watched in shock as his female-despising lover soundly kissed the Mordel female for several seconds before setting her gently back on her feet. The shade of her cheeks was a near-perfect match to Olwen's - although while hers were from embarrassment his were more likely due to his fever - and Secunda had a feeling that his own were not far off that colour either.
Arlisse stood there for several seconds, blinking at Olwen until the Mordel male growled at her. "Go." Olwen rolled over onto his side, his back to her - but Secunda was sure he was listening to her soft footsteps as she slowly turned and headed for the door. Secunda hurried after her.
"Arlisse?" She looked rather dazed. Secunda could sympathise. Olwen's kisses had a similar effect on him as well.
The female looked at him and blushed more deeply as she nodded. "I... That was all I wished to tell him. Except..." She bit her lip and turned back to face Olwen. "You and Secunda aided me when I was injured and you took me to my brother. I shall not forget. If there is ever anything I can do for you in return, you have only to ask." Her voice was soft, but it was easy to tell that Olwen had heard her.
"Hn."
Secunda smiled a little. Arlisse looked as if she was about to say something more, then she just smiled very shyly and turned away again, her cheeks even darker than before. She nodded to Secunda, then hurried to the door. There was a whirl of wind and the chill of snow as she opened the door - then she was gone.
Secunda went back to stand beside the bed. He looked down at Olwen - still lying on his side. "The healer said for you to lie quietly until your strength returned. I am not sure pulling someone down on top of you counts."
Olwen slowly rolled onto his back again. He looked at Secunda for a few seconds, then reached out and began to pull his lover down on top of him.
Secunda moaned softly and went willingly into his lover's embrace. "Of course... I could be wrong."
"Hn."

Outside, Arlisse leaned against the wall of the house. Her hand lifted to her chest - where her heart was beating so fast and so hard that it was surprising it was still within her body - then moved up to rest lightly on her lips. Her mind apparently replayed what had just happened, since her cheeks darkened to a rosy hue that had nothing to do with the cold Winter wind blowing the snow up around her ankles. The wind seemed to serve to remind her where she was, though.
Arlisse straightened and quickly put her cloak on again before she headed off towards her home and the family that were waiting for her there - a slightly dazed smile never leaving the lips that Olwen had so softly and tenderly kissed. She moved as if she were in a dream - but then, that was more or less what had happened.
Ever since the day he had taken her home and later taken her to her brother, Olwen had been a fascination to Arlisse. To be kissed by him... that had been her most secret fantasy.
Now it was a dream come true.
