Welcome to my website. I have officially been a practicing solitary since 1992, though I have been involved in group work and ritual, when it was needed. This site is my way of reaching out to my fellow witches, both new and old. I hope to give something new to the community, by adding original content from many sources, including books that are not easily found and my own experience. I hope you enjoy what you see, and will email me if you have any questions or suggestions.

I began my explorations when I was about six years old, because of contact with an entity I began calling Charlotte. She visited me at all times of the day, and sometimes in dreams. Over the years, I have pieced together what I believe to have been the events of her life. It's been a slow process, but has enabled me to undergo a deeper growth process in the Craft than I might otherwise have known. Charlotte is not the only ghost I have come into contact with though, and I receive messages from all sorts of individuals. Usually they relay the message for a loved one, then move on. Charlotte is the only one who has been with me for an extended period of time.

With this ability commune with the "other side" came an early interest in deity, but in my grandparents household church wasn't something attended regularly. I prayed to a statue of Mary my grandmother found in one of her rental properties. In fourth grade I was introduced to the Hellenic pantheon by my teacher who had only just returned from Greece, and found a kindred deity in Athena. For years then, it was Mary and Athena who were my choices when talking to the divine, and it was to them I returned after two or three years of attempting the Christian path. I branched out to encompass more of the Greek pantheon, but there was a feeling of change in the air that would not seem to go away.

I was contacted by the goddess Nox and her family, a set of Hellenic deities with whom I regularly communed in combination with Mary. I ventured further, trying to touch base with the masculine through Nox's son, Thanatos. It brought me balance at a time when I felt it was necessary, but I ultimately went on to create my own path. A Philomarianist Shadow Spiritualist is how I refer to myself. I still work on the inner me in pursuit of enlightenment, but respect the place darkness has in the universe and my own personality. My work has led me to begin a book, and I have owned a yahoo group called Sanctity of Shadows since 2003. Recently, I began another group on yahoo for my fellow Mary worshippers called Mary the Goddess.
