She was given to a surrogate mother at birth for reasons she has yet to understand. At the of nine, she was caught outside in a storm and struck by lightning; the lightning caused her to revert to her demon form and she destroied the entire village. From the village she joined her sister, Arias, at the Shiaku Academy. While at the Academy, she met Adamin, the first person she had ever loved. Master Shinto, headmaster at the academy, considered Jessimine his star pupil, and she was to graduate a year early.
On Arias' birthday, one week before Jessimine's graduation, she and Jessimine were supposed to celibrate. Jessimine returned to the academy late to find her sister had been killed. When she told Master Shinto, he told her: "You sister was only holding you back Ms. Katsume."
Jessimine's rage caused her to once again revert to her demon form. This time when she became consious, she saw Adamin. Her love had been killed by her hand.
Adamin's spirit still resides in the crystal that he had given her, that she never takes off.
