History
Tace never imagined a life different from that she grew up in, until the day it was torn away from her. She was raised by her parents as an only child, far away from the outside world on a secluded horse stud. Here her father bred and trained some of the finest horses in the kingdom for the exclusive use of the Royal Court. Together here they lived a quite existance.
The family worked hard with the horses everyday on their property located in a quiet little valley, but to their downfall very little news reached them. So, when the kingdom fell to an invading army of unsurpassed might, they had no warning. Nor did they know that a band of soldiers was sent to wipe them out in revenge for deeds committed in the past by Tace's father.
Luckily for Tace however, she'd been out in the woods riding one of the horses for her father when they came. The farm was torched and left in smouldering heap, while her parents were slaughtered with their beloved horses. By the time she came back home the band were long gone, and there was nothing left she could do. So, with nothing but what she had on her, she rode away into the wilderness in a state of despair.
She wandered for days, furiously following the trail of the soldiers in a futile bid for vengance, but eventually they got further and further away and she surcummed to starvation. She continued in this manner until her horse withered away and she too was near death.
In this state Tace was found by Sapientia, a wandering healer who brought her back to health and eventually took her on as an apprentice. Sapientia taught Tace the ways of the wild and of the world, while battles raged unheeded. Given the skills of healing and of the mind, she eventually grew to an age when her full potential could be realised. So, knowing this, Sapientia told her the truth about who Tace really was and what was really happening to her. She explained that Tace was in actual fact the Chosen incarnate of her soul - Tace was the perfect, and last, physical form that her soul group would ever acheive in this realm, and also the representative of her angel self in the higher realms. As her knowledge grew, she would learn how to harness the power of the other Realms.
Given this knowledge, Sapientia's role was done, and she passed on her sword Ulciscor to Tace, and ascended.
From then on Tace journeyed alone, making a crust though healing and telling bardic tales in small towns. But whenever she finds someone in trouble, she'll be the first one to help...
