Ocean Storm

Below the grassy, sloping hills
Below a cliff
Below the ocean waves roll
They slip and slide over the rocks

Seaweed and slippery boulders come and go beneath the waves
The ocean turns dismal and bitterly churns as the sky darkens
Waves become greater as they cover the smooth sand
Then retreating back to their graveyard of lost ships

Blackend clouds tear apart and drops of water pound the ocean mercilessly
Waves rage while the wind screams and thrashes
Up from its bed of sand rises the ocean

Thunder roars and lightning flashes
Waves roll and boats are pulled into the depths of the watery graveyard
Anger flows through the ocean tearing at everything in site

The rain lifts and waves calm
The sky lightens and dreary clouds drift in above
A burst of sunshine sweeps in, sparkling on the foaming, green ocean
Waves lap at the beach, now small and meek
Mist sifts across the ocean, blanketing it for a night's sleep

A silent breeze pushes the last of the clouds from the sky
The moon awakens to control its tides, while the sun slumbers
Stars glisten in the sky, releasing their brilliance to reflect upon the dark, silent ocean
The land is covered with the milky light falling from the moon and stars
The storm is over, the ocean rests
