I wanted to portray Hotaru as Death personified, but I also wanted to keep with the fact that Sailorsaturn is the soldier of silence.  Her cloak enables her to hide in the shadows unseen, and her annoyed expression is because even though she is a part of the life cycle, she is never welcome and others fear her presence.  --Mina 02.11.12
