F.A.Q.'s
1) What do the thingies mean on the games page?
Work planned = Game in planning stages, writing up script, etc.
Work in progress = Game started, making maps, databases etc.
Work nearing completion = Final stages, testing, ironing out bugs
Work completed = Alpha version, first version, beta, etc.
2) Where can I find...?
Try looking on a search engine, KaZaA, Some of the linked sites on this page, or on a specific link I may give you.
3) Is there a tranlated version of...? If not, how can I translate it?
I will put some links up soon. I think there is a SRM translation out there, try looking on Don's forums. TRM I intend to translate, if only I can find it. RM2K, obviously, has been translated.
To translate a game, you need the following: An Oriental character displayer, such as NJStar (Search on google) Communicator, The NJStar Japanese word processor, a Japanese-English dictionary or reliable online translator, and a Delphi-Coder who is willing to translate the program for you if you tell him/her what to type.
4)Please can you send me...?
It depends. Smaller files yes, bigger files maybe, huge files no. I only have a 56K modem. *Kicks computer*
5)What are those weird symbols you've appended to the end of a folder name?
They indicate that they've come from a non-original origin. Refer to the list below:
[T] indicates a translation, eg.[T-Eng] is translated to english.
[C] indicates a conversion, eg.[C-64] is converted from an N64 game.
[A] indicates an adaption, eg.[A-Clue] is adapted from the board game "Clue".
I hope this is clear enough. These are only on newer games or recently updated ones.
6) After I close an RM2K game in full screen, my monitor display becomes a bunch of random lines. What's going on?
The only solution I know of is to run everything in a small window in test play.
7)I'm another Geocities user. How do you use images offsite?
I think you have to convert the file extension of a picture to '.txt' and then link to it.
