| When I said that this thing was a pet project that was just for fun, I meant it. I played around with Game Maker and a few of its functions, but the large numbers of errors I unwittingly made and the problems within kept me from ever doing much with it. When I finally fixed them all and got rid of said errors, it took off like a rocket, and that was just a few days ago. I've added tons of sprites and objects to it, and if I keep this up it'll have a working code in a month or so. Only then will I actually work on the important stuff, like characters, a plot, levels, etc etc etc that I should've planned out in the first place. Oh well. I'll probably be getting help from people on that. And it's unlikely to ever go up here. Even after I hacked out most of the sound effects and as-yet-unused backgrounds, the incomplete game was still over two megs. I need a new server. Badly. Enough banter. Screenshots are below! To do list: (Completed things will be deleted from the list) >Code the ground pound action >Code the flutter jump action >Code the tongue action >Code the spit action >Code the swallow action >Rip as many sprites as possible from the game (Ongoing) >Record sound effects from the game (Ongoing) >Do the watermelons >Do the invulnerability star >Do the pinball flippers >And other stuff I haven't thought of yet... |

| Well, this time, geocities just resized it all by itself... oh well. This screenshot shows what the game looks like now, with many more objects and such. They all work except for the vertical log you can pound down into the ground, and the Yoshi coding I haven't yet finished. |
