| There is differing opinion as to how exactly Mary Kelly's room appeared. This disagreement is partly based on the few surviving photographs. It must be remembered that the west wall of the room. (The wall nearest the bed) was a partition dividing a much larger room into two. This partition could have been removed when some of the photos were taken. The 3D reconstruction is merely to give an idea of what may and may not have been seen from the windows and doorway. |

| In this second reconstruction the table nearest the bed is made smaller and even closer to the bedstead and the wall. This is in-line with contempory photos. It might be noted that to view the bed a visitor would need to enter the room completely if they did not wish the door to block their view. The fireplace is at bottom left. |
