| In one letter sent by Jack the Ripper the writing was upon a scrap of newspaper. One article (bottom centre) was upon 'points and poets' with the poet Robert Browning mentioned. It was largely Browning's commendation on Thompson's poetry that brought Wilfrid Meynell to assist Thompson in publishing his works. |
