Jason has been playing music since the age of 9. His influences range from Billy Holiday, B.B. King and Aritha Franklin, to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Kings X, to Prince, Lenny Kravitz, and The Black Crows. The songs he writes are audio landscapes of the way he felt while he was writing them. Some are of the pain of love lost and some are the pain of love desired. His music has been described as: Soul/Rock Funk/Rock and Blues/Rock. His music is like acoustic love making or sorrow in a sound wave that makes love to your soul. Jason first started playing in local open mics, when a few bar owners took notice of his tallent. The bar owners began booking Jason for 3 and 4 hr shows. As the crowds grew he decided to bring his act to NYC. He started playing gigs with fellow musician, Scott Decarlo at Kenny's Castaways, The C-Note, The Lizzard Lounge, ect... Catching some ears Jason decided to make a 5 song acoustic CD, while his long awaited 15 song cd was still being recorded. The acoustic cd made it to the hands of Divalicous Radio's, Leah Quin. She interviewed Jason and soon after booked him to play at Texas Motor Speedway for NASCAR. Jason tore the doors off of Texas. It was questionable if his funky, Soul/Rock style was going to go over in a state known for it's country music, but in the end all the autographs, and a sold out CD proved his music could take him anywhere. Shortly after he played the New York International Music Festival, and finnished recording his 15 song CD "Dark Liquid Purple". He is currently looking for management, and is waiting loudly to conquer the world. Jason is an unsigned artist who supports other unsigned artists of all types. |
