Dark Light LRP was originally founded in 1994 by members of the Roleplaying Society at Derby University.
DLran roleplaying events in Derby for 3 years,including fortnightly games of Vampire: The Masquerade, Highlander, and Outlands (a high-fantasy LRP).
The games varied in size from 10 people to over 60, with a number of special events.
Dark Light's profile was raised by local sponsorship and press coverage, which surprisingly painted a reasonable sane view of LRP.
In 1997, Dark Light Enterprises came to a close in Derby,
In the late part of 2001 it re-formed in Brighton as Dark Light LRP
Since then we have re-established the regular Vampire games, and have run several games in the Dark Times series ( a lowfantasy horror LRP). Dark Light LRP is currently working on a new High Fantasy LRP project (presently called Obsidian), which will be run in conjunction with another branch of Dark Light
We also organise bespoke Murder Mystery evenings and other such events upon request through our sister company The Butler Did It. We have appeared at events on behalf of companies such as Royal & SunAlliance, the Brighton media company, Victoria Real, Designate and most recently the central library in Worthing
