About the Ranks:

• Alpha
  2 per pack - one male, one female
  Pack commanders. Alphas lead the pack, discipline for bad behavior, accept newcomers, and generally are in charge. Everything that goes on in the land of their pack is under their control, and what an Alpha says should be considered law.
• Beta
  2 per pack - one male, one female
  The Alphas' closest advisors and aides, responsible for being where the Alphas cannot be and seeing what the Alphas do not. In the event that one Alpha is not present, the Betas should aid the other Alpha in his or her duties when requested. When neither Alpha is present, the Betas are in charge.
• Delta
  1 per pack
  Pack peacemaker. Responsible for making sure pack members are getting along, and settling any disputes that arise. Also acts as an ambassador for the pack by mediating issues that arise between their pack and other packs in the valley. When needed, they also bring messages from one pack to another.
• Elder [Advisor]
  1 per pack
  The old, 'retired' wolves who help the Alphas, Betas and anyone else who needs it in big decisions. Usually the pack's Keeper as well - the one who holds all the stories of the pack history. Advisors do the same things, but are not necessarily old and 'retired'.
• Hunt Organizer
  1 per pack
  Responsible for organizing and aiding the Alphas in leading hunts. The Hunter must decide when the best time to hunt is and what strategy will be used. Hunters should consult Alphas when they have decided upon a good hunting time and strategy for approval. Hunter and Puppysitter are equal in rank.
• Scouts
  3 per pack
  A trio responsible for keeping a look out for trouble on packlands, greeting visitors that come from other packs and helping newcomers adjust to life in a new pack.
• Omega
  1 per pack
  The furthest down the chain, often the most playful wolf who is responsible for keeping stress levels low within the pack and making sure no one gets over worked.
• Medic
  2 per pack
  A wolf with advanced knowledge of how to heal the injured, treat the ill and things of that sort (without using any magic).
• Keeper
  1 per pack
  The longtime member who has been around through many events, and holds the pack's lore. Consider it a story teller or an educator - they are responsible for teaching the puppies pack ways.
• Guardian
  4 per pack
  Usually protech the weaker members and the young from any "invading" wolves of other packs.
• Law Enforcers
  4 per pack
  Wolves incharge of making sure all actions go within the ruling boundries of the pack and do something about those using misconduct.
