| PLEASE NOTE: For the most part, nearly all of the imagery you see on this website is ORIGINAL MATERIAL, at least in as much as I actually filmed the footage that the stills were taken from. This page however, is definately an exception. I originally threw this "lyrical supplemental" together for my own purposes. I was practicing editing and thought it would be interesting to try to make a video (with text, obviously) for one of my favourite Death In June songs ~ "Rose Clouds of Holocaust". I was partially inspired by having just seen the movie Star Quest, a terribly cheesy flick, but one that (sorta) addresses the very real threat of nuclear anihilation nonetheless... The "holocaust" scenes were taken from Star Quest and the "festival" footage is from The Wicker Man (although I did convert it from colour to black and white for this). The rest are stills that I took of the intro to Death In June's official website (which I then "re-animated" and added the text in iMovie). I really liked the way it turned out and I decided to include it on my show -to hopefully promote the band a little, expose them to a new audience that would probably never hear of Death In June otherwise, as well as presenting an indirect "artistic" statement about nuclear warfare and the senseless destruction that it brings... |
