It won't go into the day by day running of your city, just the setting up process and that's it. The rest will be up to you. Select a nice small city from the reigon view, anyone will do, a nice plain grass one is easier rather then one with mountains and rivers and such as the costs are lower for building and you'll have more room. Since I am a bit crazy, all the startint blocks will be of the highest density so you don't have to upgrade it later when your city is already developed. This size city is 64x64 squares (count it if you like, press G while in the game and count the squares. Here is a simple ASCII map of what it will look like after you've done all I say and if you are good at reading stuff like this, you can probably set up the city right from the map, but here it is: Before you start, set up a city next to it with a few Coal Power Plants and a connection via powerlines to the chosen city.
