I'd completely forgotten about this old version of the site. Anyway, whilst our other host sorts some things out, this'll be the home of darkGTA again.

New Package!

Well I managed to finish off the Hidden Packages revamp. Just like the San Andreas maps, it now uses an extracted picture of the 'radar' from the game files. While this does mean that my 'amazing' 'hand' drawn pictures now fade into the midsts of my harddrive, it should mean that the maps are more accurate and easy to read off. Though printing is another matter. I reccommend making the blue sea white if you're going to be printing the map off.

I might be able to get one or more Vice City maps completed by the new year, but it's unlikely going by the way I handled this revamp to the Hidden Packages.

Anyone wanting the cheap 'black and white' version of the map should find it elsewhere. If I'm not mistake, the map can be found by typing in 'Vice City Map' into Google Image search, the Hidden Packages map should be on the first page along with several other Vice City maps.

And Merry Christmas to all!

Stupid Popup

Unfortunately Dot.tk has decided that any site with over 1000 hits a month will be forced to have their stupid banner popup. That means this site. I'll try to 'fix' this as soon as I can, though anyone with a good enough popup blocker won't really be affected. Night night.

I did say no more work this year, but I've decided to redo the Hidden Packages Map for Vice City, as I really dislike the way that I remade it last time (GameFAQs version only, though I dislike the 'old' look too). It'll be more like the San Andreas maps once it's done. Complete to around the first eleven tags, should be totally done tomorrow night. I might have another map or two done then as well, but it's unlikely since I'm lazy. I will be completing all four maps before the year ends though.

All Done +1

There, no more work this year I believe. All six maps are completed including the Unique Jumps map just uploaded. As with the Oysters map, it's at a smaller size in order to get it accepted to GameFAQs, however for the full sized version, click on the All Maps in One.

Plus I've updated all the other maps too as I'm now using a more colourful background map then before.

Little Update

I've now gotten some new pictures of the maps for their buttons as well as adding one for the All-in-one Map. I've begun work on the Unique Stunts Map as well, as you can see by the button, I've also uploaded the partially complete map. Only the first 24 jumps (Los Santos) are marked on with accuracy, the other 46 will have to wait a short while. Though I hope to get this completed before Christmas.

All Done

All main maps done. I've even put a version with everything on up. Click here to get to it as I haven't yet made a picture or link to it from the San Andreas page. The Unique Stunts map still resides in the unfinished status though, but since they aren't needed for 100% this time around, it's not really a priority of mine to finish it. I might get it done in the next few weeks, but maybe not.

Don't worry about the pictures on the San Andreas page, they're old and I haven't yet updated them. Prepare shortly to see the maps on GameFAQs if they get accepted there as bandwidth on this shoddy Geocities is as ever way too small.

Spin icon spin!

No more must I toil over the Snapshots Map. I have completed it. View it in the San Andreas section or visit GameFAQs, shortly (it's not yet posted). While the map is complete, I still have to write up the majority of the Snapshots as I have only got a written account of the first ten, before I decided that I wanted the map completed quickly. Note that I have taken the decision to lighten the colour of the markers on the map as they seemed a bit dark against the map.

The next map I'll be doing will be one for the horseshoes, but since it is going hand in hand with my walkthrough, that won't be at least until the weekend if not sooner.

Are you going to San Fierro?

Tada! I've finished up with Los Santos and the Badlands sections of the game and have 'started' on the San Fierro part. Only written about the first mission there currently though as it was so easy, despite the fact that Zero likes to keep getting killed as I get to him. ^_^

Tags = Done, Los Santos = Nearly Done

I've now fully finalised and completed the Tags map as well as the guide to go with it. Clicky on the San Andreas button above to get to it. I've also nearly completed the whole of Los Santos in the Walkthrough with only Paramedic, Taxi, Vigilante, 8-Track and Burglaries to do. There might be some other stuff which I've currently forgotten, but that stuff shouldn't take too long to do, then it's onto the 'Badlands' proper.

Did I say silent?

Well I kinda take that back. Anywho, I've uploaded a 'slightly' improved version of the Tags Map, though the version at GameFAQs will only be updated once I get round to finishing off that last 37 tags to proof-read and write about.

Posted by dark52 on Sunday the 21st of November 2004

Just a little bit of perfection

Slightly more done to the guide. It's now got the first 50 of the tags completed and written out, therefore I've also slightly nudged a few of the markers on the Tags Map around a little to be even more accurate, though I'm finding that they are almost dead-on every time which is great seeing as it's currently being hosted on GameFAQs as well now.

After perfection of the Tags Map is complete, I'll continue on with my Walkthrough and therefore be able to get started with perfecting the map for the Snapshots, until then though it'll just be silent updates for the Walkthrough and Tags Map.

Tag Map Completed...

After the initial uploading of the file two days ago, I've completed a rather basic end set of tags which don't feature small pointy bits and so is only a general area rather then an exact point. I will try to update this as I carry on with my walkthroughbut just to give anyone a chance, it's got all the tags and the new numbers that I will be giving them, saves me time too as I don't have to make sure I don't miss any anymore.

I also have fixed the ad problem, hopefully, and have also wrapped the San Andreas Walkthrough so it is easier to read now. Cheers. You should also note that I will be quickly knocking up some more renumbered maps for future pefecting, thus all maps should be done by tonight, unless I get bored of course.

UPDATE: I have now fully added all five maps to the site, all of which can be accessed from the San Andreas section. There will be no more 'new' maps but I will amend and modify the ones up so as to make them much more accurate, just like the first 40 of the tags.

SA Updates

Tada! It's finally happened. I've uploaded a semi-complete version of my walkthrough and a partially complete map of the locations of the tags. While they aren't complete yet, very soon I will get them done fully. Go to the San Andreas section for more.

I haven't had time to wrap the walkthrough so it'd probably be best if you saved it to your computer, opened it in notepad and put on Wordwrap or it'll just be impossible to read.

And big apologies for the annoying ads that have started appearing at the sides of pages, I'm not really sure why they've started doing this and I'll try to fix this as soon as I find the time, until then you'll just have to put up with it.

Change of plans

Rather then drawing my own map, I've now decided to just use an already existing one to put the locations on. Therefore, this should be completed very soon and will be uploaded as soon as I finish it, also bringing a new look to the old Vice City maps too.

And about a guide for San Andreas by me, it's now unlikely that I'll bother to write one soon as I don't have much time really, though if I get bored over the weekend I'll give it a go.

Posted by dark52 on Thursday the 4th of November 2004

Heh, err... right.

That's the last time I give out a date for doing something by. I haven't yet finished the map and it's only around 30% done as far as I can see, I've done the outline and a few roads here and there. It'll be done when it's done. And since San Andreas gets released tomorrow, I may be updating the new look of the site very soon. Though, as usual it may be a while till I get round to it.

Also, look out for a guide for San Andreas by me on GameFAQs in the next few weeks as I've finally decided on giving it a go again, though there's always a chance that I won't get the guide hosted there at all.

Las Venturas

Finally the third portion of the San Andreas map was revealed 'officially' yesterday (it had been accidently leaked a while before that though), however due to the fact that I have decided to completely redraw the entire map, I don't as yet have my own version of it. This should be solved at the weekend though as I will have enough time to complete it all by then.

San Fierro Map

Atfer the nice update at the official San Andreas site, I've made an addition to my map of Los Santos, now the map contains both Los Santos and the newly revealed San Fierro. Clicky on the San Andreas link above and then on the map button there.

New Look darkgta.tk

After nearly two months without so much as a news item, I've finally gotten around to working on this site again. I've given it a new look, as well as resorting everything out differently. This site will now hold all of the guides that I've written as well as a few extra things. I've reduced the site to .txt documents for now, but I may once again eventually turn them into .html files that look better, but at the moment it's just a site to hold the .txt ones as well as any extra stuff I've made to go with that guide.

While there no longer is a sidebar for navigational purposes, you just need to click the logo at the top of the page to get back to this one. I haven't bothered to implement a naviagtional system here as the site doesn't really need one all that much.
