The dragon is manupulative and uses Vega for his own bidding. Amplifying her negative feelings.
However he does have one big flaw, he cannot control positive emotions. So when Vega develops feelings for Tala, his hold on her mind begins to slip. And it is finally broken when Vega discharges the Divine Dragon Canon on Michael of the Allstarz. Kaosu cant regain energy fast enough to maintain his hold on Vega.
