Chapter 1

In the year 1349 of the second age of men during the war between the earthly alliance of Terre and the dark lands of the Rolf Dynasty, King Sareef of Terre demanded an end to war by total destruction of Rolfs kingdom. He commissioned his best men into finding a way to accomplish his goal. His mage team failed him. His beast masters failed to come up with a monster with the sheer capacity to take on Rolfs Elephants and his chief council couldnt find a way for the Terre alliances army to defeat Rolfs army without taking risky damage. His chief priests however found a way; however it cost a price, the kings first born son and heir to the throne. By sacrificing the son and asking the god of war for help they found a way to make the ultimate weapon. Infused with the power of the gods it had the ability to strike down the darkness of Rolfs kingdom. As legend has it as the king touched the sword he heard his son cry out in rage ready for battle. The blade itself, soon nicknamed the Crimson blade for all the blood it shed, rallied not only men and elves to fight but sprites and even the gods themselves as well. With this newfound power the kingdom of Terre rose up and struck down Rolfs kingdom forcing him back into a corner of the land which was named Crystal Creek.  For a time peace fell over the land. However one voice in the darkness can rally many more to its cause.

Thirty years later Serifs son Charles II took the throne. He didnt have his fathers strength and he was soon faced with a massive Civil War that threw Terre into chaos. Peace was restored but not before a group of rebels calling themselves the Xong family stormed Terres main city Gourna; burning it to the ground. Charles fled his kingdom only to become lost with Terres most powerful artifact, the Crimson blade. With his departure he left the minister of the church of peace in charge who, even by todays standards was a very intelligent man. To restore peace he called the 6 possible heirs to Charles throne to the city of Athe. There he divided Terres kingdom into six parts and gave each heir a peace to rule over. Thus the kingdoms of Victory, Freeland, Yeven, Xong, Woodland and Serlack were born as the second age ended. Now after three hundred years our story begins as a lone traveler approaches a small village on the Freeland boarder.
