	Snuffed Hope Explanation

		This is the story behind the poem. I liked this girl called Amanda. We had been going out for about a month when bad things started to happpen to me. I was really depressed at the time and things didn't seem they could get much worse. Then, Amanda dumped me for reasons I don't fully understand even now a month after. So I was all depressed and the like. So to revieve my depression I tried a new stress reliver, writing poems. "Snuffed Hope" was my first and I wrote it the same day. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope..... Mine has gone out I can no longer see the light in the everlasting darkness it seems to have gone out life with out hope darkness This bacially says that I have lost all hope in my life. It was true while I was writing this. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- its warmth has left me I feel cold I cannot feel its warmth Life with out hope numbness Me just using the metaphore that feeling hope is like feeling warmpth ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darkness over takes me Coldness sweeps me into the gap into the void life without hope death....... Here I'm using the darkness medaphore that I use in most of my poems. The darkness repersents despair and lonelyness two things I fear the most.
