This page is dedicated to me , in a way i wrote it for me along time ago, i just needed to write what was in my heart to the paper, or actually the web in this case .I see it as a dedcation to me to remember than i can overcome anything it is dedicated at the times when i feel sorrow. But i also dedicate to you. You are beautiful also, and in the deepest of your sorrows may the light of the Goddess shine through. Never fade away! The dark side! What is it. where is it and how does one approach it? This just my opinion on the subject , and i expect nonone to agree or disagree. I can only please myself after all. The whole embracing the concept has been taken way out of proportion. Dont get me wrong im all with embracing the unexpected darkness which appears in my life. I have discovered that many sites are geared to telling others how fluffy they are. What is a fluff? Not a piece of lint i hope :) So what if im a modern witch. The world is modern and that ain't gonna change soon, all things that remain stagnant die, change is growth. I do respect my ancestors, and ancient witchcraft, Sure my faith may be a little over fifty years, but its stilled based on time honored practices, and some ancient remenents, and a feeling that revels all of time. From the heart.....If i walk barefooted or hug a tree am i a carebear? Hell no! If you claim to respect the earth, but yet you never experience it, through the skin, or feel the energy of a tree, smell flowers, or feel the wind whip through your hair. For once throw off your shoes, you weren't born with them on. " I dont see the next door neighbours cat wearing nikeys. We are animals, too! Whats all this embrace all the dark side of wicca. Wicca has a dark side, but it isn't evil, its constructive to existence, witness it by looking out through the window. If you shun one side or the other you shun existance. Light and are dark are like sisters -- they both need to be here, both balanced as they are in natural nature. Both flowing and ebbing. Many people who do not under stand the dark side of wicca deem it to be evil, to them dark is unatural. There are some people today who come to wicca for power trips,becuase they think they will get something. Some people do it to be cool or trendy or kicks. You wouldnt follow any other faith for these reasons so why follow wicca with unsincerity.No where have i read where it says (1) To become wiccan wear all black (2) Look really scary to frighten your parents and friends (3) Threaten to put curses on people to make you feel more powerful. I realize there are wiccans who dress as such and are dead serious about wicca, and on the other side there simply are the attention getters those who dress all black and have the jewerly thing going because they think it's wiccan and you have to dress like this, or they want to be trendy . If you are dressing the way you feel then in no way do i have the right to question that, or your religious preferance i respect that :) I have the right to only question my own spirituality. But spirituality or religion if you prefer is not a game, or trend. Please treat it with with sincerity. wicca does not require you to dress different it only makes you YOU! |
