Goddess is Our Mother and the giver of life. She manifests her self through the earth, and her energy lies within every tree, rock, plant and person. She controls the powerful seas, and her symbol is the glowing moon. The goddess has thousands of names, given to her over the centuries, and she manifest as any aspect we could ever imagine. She has been known sometimes by certain  people as the "Godess of a thousand names."
People who have no understanding of the craft associate our Mother with evil as in refering to the goddess as for example being satan, or like satan. But this far from the truth.

Our Goddess does not dwell far in a place above, but she dwells in everything, even ourselves. The moon as her sign, has a powerful influence over our emotions, and is used for spell workings. The moon becomes full once every month, and there are 13 full moons in a year. The moon waxes meaning to increase in light, and wanes meaning to diminish in light. The Goddess has three aspects Maiden, mother and crone. At her Maiden sight she tells us to start things anew and let go of the past. This is a great time for planning, starting, embracing our new inner strengths as in new resolutions  after the cold winter months, and cherising out inner child like spirit. As mother she tells us to make our goals in life manifest, a time to complete, to further our actions. As crone she is watcher of secrets, and death. She tells us to complete completion on a final task. She is a representation of things that must end, and natural destruction. Destruction is the process of wiping away the old to make way for the new. Without destruction nothing new could come. Our Great Goddess and god have never and will never be evil. Things like tornadoes, thunderstorms, hurricanes and natural forest fires are examples of natural destruction. Death is not evil, even though the way people could die may be unpleasant, death is just another from of living. "Nature knows not the evils of man" The goddess teaches us this mystery, and when we learn this death is not so scary as it is made out to be. It also teaches us the fact that change is a necessary part of life. Without change all would eventually die. She has been visioned as a skeleton, an old crippled women, and a wise one at that. All is quite evident. All we need to do is look at her earthly womb in the winter months when animals hibernate, trees are bare, and she rests. This is a time for great inner reflection, deep thinking, for the goddess has much wisdom to reveal. In this lies a seed of hope new beginnings, when the time has come. But for now we are left to recuperate from the busy time of the year, to gather our strength.

The goddess ages in a year, and renews herself fully by Imbolc. However to do our magick working we would not wish to wait till a certain time of year to do it, instead the moon allows us to follow certain phases quickly. The moon when waxing represents maiden, when full represents mother, and when waning and is invisible the crone aspect.

Like our Mother our father the horned god also has many names given to him over the centuries. The horned god is watcher over mothers creations. He helps mothers creations to grow. He takes the sun as his symbol in the sky. He is also natural instinct to survive, and forests untouched by man, as well as the glittering stars, which are small suns. We as humans have strayed far from natural survival and instinct. We take more than we need, greedily killing the rainforest and our animal sisters and brothers. Of course we must kill things as plants and animals to survive, however what we kill we treat with unkindness, and use for profit. Shutting cattle and chickens in enclosed spaces, and pumping them full of hormones. We shut chickens breed for egg laying in small cages, who go blind from there own stench. We stamp sheep with numbers, and treat them like products. We even waste what we do leave. In the natural animal kingdom, once a prey has been killed, is rotting carcass serves as food for other animals, none is wasted. The animals are free to roam wherever they please. The horned god tries to teach us to remember the natural order of survival to only take what we need, and to remember that the animals and plants are creations of Goddess, and must be treated neither lower or higher than ourselves. The Horned god is also the watcher mainly of the grain, harvest, and animal kingdoms. He is a playful spirit, intertwined with love, ectasy and excitement. He is the Hunter and prey, in natural survival. Back during the persecutions, the loving imagine of our god was said to be satan because he is represented with horns. The church took the imagine and said it was the image of the
re Satan.
