Most teachers go out of their way to try and set a good example for their students. Yukari-sensei is not one of those teachers. Yukari-sensei is the group’s homeroom and English teacher, but this lively and cunning woman can easily outdo her students in rambunctiousness and irresponsibility. Yukari’s behavior in and out of class can be so juvenile that her students practically treat her as one of the gang, even calling her Yukari-chan rather than sensei.
While one could say that Yukari-sensei never grew up, the thing that gets her fired up the most is the opportunity to challenge the school’s more mature gym teacher and her best friend, Kurosawa-sensei, who she calls Nyamo. From swimming competitions to basketball, Yukari-sensei takes any opportunity that arises to challenge Kurosawa-sensei and hopefully win herself a free dinner or drinks at the pub at Kurosawa-sensei’s expense.
