In celebration of DE 13's creation, Grandpa Ghoulie is hosting a short horror story contest. I want you to scare up some horrific stories, one which will scare the cockroaches from my rotting head. | Halloween. So use your pulsing brains and think up some gruesome tales of Vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghouls (Hey, that's me), ghosts, witches, and anything else that gives you goosebumps. Once I've collected all these grim tales, I'll choose the three best stories and will announce (From my tomb) the winners. These three authors will be awarded three seperate prizes and each of their stories will be posted on this site for all DE 13 fans to read. Be sure to read the contest rules. Now, get to writing and let me slither back to my coffin. Contest Rules 1. Short stories must have a Horror slant, and typed double-spaced, ranging from 800 to 5000 words in length. 2. Please send a self addresses stamped envelope if you want your story returned to you. 3. The content of your story is up to you, the author, however, I will shy away from stories with excessive violence and profanity. Absolutely no pornography. Remember, such professionals as Alfred Hitchcock relied on the imagination. 4. You may submit only one short story for this contest via US mail, not e-mail. Remember, the deadline is October 15, 2001. 5. Please send me a short e-mail to let me know you mailed your story.
