__I set up my forces around the base so as not to let any of the marines out and to get in some cross fire. I also set my bikes up on the brink of my deployment zone so they could get right inside the base and delay the fire from the main force.

Turn 1
__Falchion Katan rallied his Incubi when he saw the lone Sentry. Charging towards him they assaulted him to no avail. The Sentry shouted and the alarm was sounded. The awakened Marines ran to their posts just to see a Raider and a Raveger advancing over the horizon. The Dark Lance squad hurried into the forest and prepared their guns. While the warriors on either side of the base moved closer and closer. As for Falchion Katan and his Retinue, they ran strait for the gatehouse. But the Marines were too confident and held their ground except for the Attack Biker. It rode out to meet the warrior squad running towards the east wall. But then the Disciple Command Squad noticed that a squad of Reavers had snuck through a gap in the fences. The Reavers fired on the Command Squad wounding High Marshal Dimitri. The 2nd Warrior squad peppered the Attack Biker and he was thrown to the dirt while his bike went into a wild spin crashing into a tree and killing the gunner. �Come on boys, lets have some fun!� Yelled Falchion Katan. He and his retinue fired on the 1st division. But none of the splinters connected. The Raider fired its Dark Lance on the corner bunker and it was turned into a melted pile of rubble. While on the West End of the battlefield the Ravager fired two Dark Lances at the tower shaking its foundation a crumbling the walls. But it still stood. Then the Ravager fired its Disintegrator killing the Missile Launcher and a regular Marine. The Disciple�s 1st division seeing that they weren�t so safe, wildly fired on Falchion�s retinue. One marine finding his mark on Falchion wounded him. Feeling the bullet fly through him Falchion ripped off his shadow field generator and threw it to the ground. The Command Squad fired on the bikes and killed two. Seeing his comrade�s fall the last biker cursed the Monkeigh commanders.
Turn 2
__Again the second squad of warriors advanced even closer to the Western fences and the Raider moved to the gate-house and the five Harlequins onboard deployed. The Marines seeing all this, dropped the gate and the 1st division piled out. Falchion ordered his men to fire on the 1st division but to no avail. Then, while the Marines armor was still soaking up shots from the Retinue, the Harlequins fired killing two Marines. �Stead fast my Brothers!� As the discorse continued the 2nd warrior squad gave a mighty scream and killed one of the three remaining Marines in the tower. His body plummeted from the tower and splattered on the ground below. The Dark Lance squad again tried to destroy the gatehouse but still only damaging it. Also, the Ravager continued its onslaught on the tower damaging it twice and shaking the crew inside forcing them to keep down. The 1st division, seeing their Brothers go down returned fire on the closest thing to them, Falchion Katan�s Retinue. First a Marine flamed the retinue wounding Falchion and consuming an Incubi in hellfire. �My flame shall purify your heathen heart!� Then the kill shot, a Marine fires a shot hitting Falchion. It flung him against the wall of the gatehouse. Inside of the camp Chapter Master Oedipus Cantar shot down the last Reaver. The Harlequins seeing the death of their friend and ally charged the 1st division cutting down all but one marine but losing one of their own in the process.
Turn 3
__The 2nd squad moved nearly into the camp. While the 1st squad moved 6� short of the camp fences. In the middle of the field the raider moved out for a better shot on the gatehouse. In a desperate move to save the keep, the pirates out of the camp the Command Squad blasted down its own gates and ran out of the camp towards the 1st squad closely followed by the Culver Gilchrist and his Imperial Ministry. Then the raider fired its Dark Lance at the gatehouse destroying the pitiful Monkeigh structure (finally), but the armor of the Marines inside saved them. While the Ravager destroyed the tower in an amazing spectacle that look surprisingly like fireworks. The 1st squad unloaded their guns into the Command Squad wounding High Marshall Dimitri and killing the Techmarine and the Flag Bearer. In return, the Command Squad fired on the 2nd squad only killing two. Across the battlefield the retinue and the Harlequins thought they were home free when a group of Marines (2nd division) popped out of the rubble. The Harlequins and the Retinue fired on the killing them all. Then the 2nd squad mopped up the remaining marines from the 1st division. The dark lance squad fired all they could on the Imperial Ministry killing the Chaplain and wounding the All High Priest Culver. The 1st squad knowing they had won the battle charged the remaining command squad. Killing the scanner marine and wounding Oedipus. But the prize of the fight was the capture of High Marshal Dimitri. In return Oedipus and the Apothecary killed 2 warriors. Chopping them down and spitting on their carcasses. Oedipus seeing his forces were demolished and that he, the Apothecary and Culver were the only ones surviving he sounded the retreat.
__That was a great battle for me but I�m not so sure how the Disciples felt about it but the capture of High Marshal Dimitri was very nice. It was actually the inspiration for the campaign that I�m will soon be fighting.
