Villains Unlimited™ and Aliens Unlimited™
Super Powers Conversions for Rifts®

Power SymbolThe Rifts® Conversion Book One gave us conversions of Heros Unlimited™ Super Powers for the M.D.C. world of Rifts®. Why didn’t they ever give us the conversions for the cool powers from Villains and Aliens? Here are the conversons I worked out. Only those powers that are changed are listed here, and you will still need access to the original powers in most cases.


Villains Unlimited™ Powers
MINOR ABILITIES

MANIPULATE KINETIC ENERGY
Increaseing the kinetic force on a thrown vibro or plasma weapon DOES NOT increase the damage, but it can still increase the range and allow it to be redirected.

MAJOR ABILITIES

BIO-GHOST
Using Bio-Ghost against an M.D.C. creature only drains 1D4+1 Hit Points, no S.D.C. points are lost or gained. Supercharging off an M.D.C. creature only replenishes 1 H.P per touch, and no bonus S.D.C. is gained.

CONTROL INSECTS & ARACHNIDS
Xiticix and other intelligent Insects get a save vs. psionics to resist Summon and Mentally Control Insects. Increase Hit Points and Create Giant Insect cannot be used on them. Giant Insects become M.D.C. creatures. Soft bodied insects get 10 M.D.C., Most arachnids and reasonably armored insects get 20 M.D.C. Heavily armored insects get 30 M.D.C. The attacks of M.D.C. giant insects inflict Mega-damage (1D6, 1D6+3 or 2D6 M.D.)

CONTROL RADIATION
Radiating extreme amounts of radiation inflicts 1D6 M.D. per melee to M.D.C. creatures, and effects of radiation poisoning are �. Discharging Nuclear Fire from Hands in Rifts® does 1D6+1D6 M.D. per level. Generating Intense Heat blocks / destroys physical, non-magical projectiles as an auto-parry.
700-1200°C does 1D6 M.D. per round, walking through molten substances does 6D6 M.D.
1200-1500°C does 1D8+1 M.D. per round, walking through molten substances does 1D4x10 M.D. (ouch!)

This super-power does NOT turn the character into an M.D.C. structure

DEVINE AURA
Add 1D6x10 to S.D.C. (rather than 1D4x10 to S.D.C.)

GEM POWERS
Use appropriate Rifts Spells or Super power Conversions

MULTIPLE BEINGS/SELVES
When a copy dies, the original loses 2 M.D.C. permanently if an M.D.C. creature; otherwise, unchanged

SLOW MOTION CONTROL
Split-Second Slowing becomes an automatic dodge in Rifts® (no action used)

SPIN AT EXTRAORDINARY SPEED
Fusillades of small debris still only do S.D.C. damage. Becomes an M.D.C. creature on Rifts® (1D4x10 M.D.C., heals like Hit Points)


Aliens Unlimited™ Powers
MINOR ABILITIES

BODY WEAPONS
M.D.C. creatures can made weapons capable of inflicting M.D.C. (in addition to damage due to strength). Fingerblades do +1D4 M.D. Blunt arm does +1D6 M.D., blade arm does +2D6 M.D. The base M.D.C. of a weapon limb is +1D4x10 M.D.C.

POWER CHANNELING
Body Tackle does 1D6 M.D. per level. Heat Butt does 1D6 M.D. per every 2 levels. Puching does (1D6 M.D. per level) +4 M.D. Power Punch does 1D6�10 M.D., but only uses up 2 actions per attack. Kick does 1D6 + 1D6 M.D. per level Jump Kick does �2 damage, but uses up � of total melee attacks


MAJOR ABILITIES

COPY PHYSICAL STRUCTURE
Ceramic or Kevlar gives 40 M.D.C.
Soft Metals give 70 M.D.C.
Hard Metals give 100 M.D.C.
Ice (only) gives 20 M.D.C, Polymers from body armor give 25 M.D.C.
Stone, Concrete or Brick give 55 M.D.C.
*Glass takes no damage from light-based attacks.

FORCE AURA
Rather than a strength bonus, while field is up, strength becomes supernatural. Field has 50 M.D.C., and regenerates 1D6 M.D.C. per melee.

IMMORTALITY
Rather than S.D.C. bonus, character becomes 4D6+10 M.D.C., which heals twice as fast as hit points

NEGATIVE MATTER
Rocks (size of a baseball), metal ball bearings, spikes, darts, forks, etc. do 1D4 M.D. Axes, swords, spears, etc. do 1D6+8 M.D. All will shatter on impact unless they are made on an M.D.C. material.
