Well what else could you expect from a great futuristic western, with everything from cats, a priest, and genetic experimentation. Love also occurs in a few ways throughout the series. Here are some of my conclusions on this
================================================================================
- Wolfwood and Milly Thompson-
================================================================================
    Throughout the series this love develops, the first sign of attraction is shown throughout the first episode in which we meet Wolfwood, "Murder Machine" he is instantly compelled to be with her. With Wolfwood's dream of helping others Wolfwood eventually comes to the conclusion that she has the ability to do so easily what he cannot, though they are the same. He is attracted to her natural personality and good will, ultimately she is purity and everything that he has worked so hard to be but cannot, when she does without trying. He makes one move in the first episode by resting himself against Milly on the bus, and she is embarrassed but says nothing.

    There is one exhibition of foreshadowing in one episode where they act as a couple trying to get Moore out of the city , and later on in the series when Wolfwood kills Zazzie the Beast they connect fully, Wolfwood seeks guidance in his decision to kill Zazzie (due to Vash's and Milly's response to the situation). It is hinted that they slept together and it is also hinted that she becomes pregnant (due to one of Wolfwood's flashback's in his last appearance . However be warned that this is a misconception and leads to false conclusions if you have not seen the episode in which the "pregnant flashback occurs" .

======================================================================================
-Meryl Stryfe and Vash-
==============================================================================================
    Indeed the longest and probably the most interesting is this. Throughout the series Meryl views Vash as one who destruction follows. Due to Vash's personality and behavior, and the contradiction between the rumors surrounding Vash, Meryl starts to care for Vash and tries to defend him on a few occasions where others talk bad about him.

    She takes care of him when he's hurt (after Vash kills Legato ) and she stands up for him against the mob, (in which she personifies Rem). She also waits for him at the end of the series, for him to come back and has faith that he will overcome his obstacle.

    Interestingly enough unlike Milly and Wolfwood this takes some logic to understand to those who are Brain-dead if they have not seen and observed correctly key instances in which Meryl exhibits such behavior. However may it be noted that unlike Milly and Wolfwood, this relationship between Meryl and Vash is not confirmed and takes some guessing because the series leaves you dry at the end. However if you are quite true to their behavior you can come to the conclusion that a relationship indeed was established. Vash's attraction to Meryl in a sense, is Meryl's symbolic move to save him against the mob.

=================================================================================
-Vash and Rem-
=================================================================================
    This is more the love of a mother and son, because Vash is very emotional in terms of Rem, and developed many of his morals based upon her ideologies. Vash values Rem and her beliefs highly and preserves her will not to kill throughout most of the series. There is one key instance in which Vash is about to kill his opponent in the Episode Diablo and he refrains that by doing so would destroy his memory of her.
