Chapter 1: The Calling
"Mirana... sweety, you have to wake up its time for school."
"... just five more minutes...please?"
"NO you have to get up NOW!"
"alright, alright already...jeez."
Mirana slowly sat up in her bed and as she whiped her face with her hands she realized where she was. This wasnt heaven anymore, this wasnt her office in the wish department. This was a small house on otaku avenue in kashi. She was on earth and her new mom was yelling at her not ot be late for school. She quikly got up took a shower threw on her uniform and ran for the bus. On the bus that morning there were only a few people. She just figured it was because everyone else could drive themselves t school or was getting a ride from their friends. After the pledge and everyone sat down the announcments came on and she tried to listen through all of the kids talking.
"We are sorry to announce that one of our fellow students and friends has died over the weekend due to Suicide"
That was all she needed to bring tears to her eyes as she ran for the bathroom. It turnes out there was no one on the bus because there was an early morning service for suzaku's funeral that was held at the school for all of the students. She was so mad at herself for not knowing and for missing the service.
Durning lunch she sat all alone and tried to figure out why she was here on earth and not in Heaven, after all She is an Angel and Heaven is her home. She tried calling to Heaven but couldnt get through and all hope seemed to be lost and she'd be stuck on earth forever. For just one minute she glanced at another table where another person sat all alone, his name was kozaku and he had shoulder length black hair and bright blue eyes that seemed to stare back at her. She got up and went ot sit by him. All he could seem to say was its my fault its all my fault. Her mom had work till 6:00 that night so she took him to her house for a while to try and get him to open up to her.
"I should have been there... I could have saved her.....she was my best friend....i killed her...its all my fault its all my fault..."
"No it's not...there was nothing you could do...you tired your best now please try and be happy"
"It's all my fault it's all my fault"
All she could do was hold him in her arms and sing her lullaby to him. After about 15 minutes he fell asleep in her arms and she knew it would be risky but she used her wings and flew him home through his bedroom window and gently layed him down in bed. She kissed him on the cheek and flew home.
That night at midnight she flew to her roof and called to Heaven one more time. She finally got an answer to her question. Although it wasnt the one she was looking for.
"You were put on earth for a purpose... your true calling and until you have fulfilled your purpose you shall remain on earth."
She cried to go home but the answer was still no and all she could do was just go to sleep and hope to wake back up in Heaven in her office where she had fallen asleep the first time. She wished that this was all a dream and that she would wake up in the wish office. With home in mind she sang herself to sleep with her lullaby. The full moon that night would reveal to her a reason to stay on earth just a little while longer.
