Name: Jose Antonio Dominguez Bandera Age: 44 Height: 5' 9" Martial Status: married to Melanie Griffith Children: Stella Del Carmen (daughter) and Dakota Johnson (step-daughter) Antonio Banderas was born in Malaga, Spain on August 10th, 1960 to a state departmentworker and a teacher, his mother. At age 14, he began acting in a small theater, though his real dream was to play professional soccer. That dream was shattered when he broke his foot. At that time, he turned acting into his primary interest while studying at the School of Dramatic Art in Malaga. Then, at age 21, he began acting with the ensemble with the National Theater of Spain. Beginning in 1982, Antonio starred in several Spanish movies. Ten years later, he made his US movie debut with The Mambo Kings. At the time, he did not yet know how to speak English, so his dialogue was taught to him phonetically. Shortly after, his career took off for him. Now, he has numerous accomplishments behind him. He's been in several movies including the swashbuckling hit Zorro and the steamy hit with Angelina Jolie, Original Sin. Besides being in the movies, Antonio also has starred on Broadway when he played in the musical Nine. On top of being voted one of the sexiest actors in Hollywood for his great looks and heavy accent, he has also directed Crazy in Alabama.
