Astrometrics
Astrometrics is a real time Solar System Simulator (software/program) that simulates many invisible and neglected features of our solar system that mainstream planeteriums do not currently boast.

A logic flaw in this latest version of Astrometrics has been pointed out to me by a NASA Scientist named Geoffrey A Landis. According to him the previous positions of the sun that the planets orbit around are not in their correct positions in the Simulator. Planets in real life orbit around the previous positions of the Sun based on the Sun's gravitational wobble with Jupiter so the planets should orbit around imaginary points in a circular track trailing from the sun rather than a straight line. The planets do not orbit around imaginary points in a straight line behind the sun because the Sun is NOT accelerating in a straight line relative to the rest of the Solar System (as the simulation currently suggests), however it IS accelerating in the form of a circular wobble relative to the rest of the Solar System. The correction will be implemented in a few months when time permits. I owe a debt of gratitude to Geoffrey for pointing out the logic error to me in the first place. Features
(Click on each picture to Zoom In)
| Relativity: | Planetary Wobble | Scalable Planets |
|
Simulates Relativity: Multiple positions of the sun displayed relative to where they would appear to be from each planet. Simulates Light Travel: The yellow ring is a pulse of photons (light energy) radiating away from the sun at real time.
|
Planetary wobble: Planetary wobble can be appreciated and observed in this program. Above screenshot illustrates the center of gravity between Pluto and it's moon Charon. |
Time Acceleration: All the planets can be scalled up in size while in a God view mode of the solar system. When time is accelerated the rotation of the planets can all be seen and compared with each other as well as their individual inclinations.

Description
Astrometrics is a planeterium software created by David CS Ong. Don't run this program directly from the zip folder. UnZip entire contents into a normal folder first then run the Astrometrics.exe file from there. This program is still a beta. Planets are not yet in correct allignment.
Ensure that Numlock is ON and Capslock is OFF. Read the Manual inside the zip archive, it has keyboard maps and basic User instructions. Astrometrics is Copyright to David CS Ong and is only free for personal usage at present.
