| Motto: Death Brings Wealth and Power Alignment: Chaotic Evil Guild Policy: The Dark Covenant is historically a PvP guild, as such, we recruite only players who have shown themselves of having extensive PvP skills. We do NOT recruite new players as you must have plenty of experience in the field of Player vs Player. Guild History: Dark Covenant was Created in July of 1995 on America Online's Neverwinter Nights Online Adventures. The Covenant was began by Poesiden, co-founded by Xyntari, Dethtraxx and VagabondX. We quietly made a force out of the people we gathered in the worship of Vhaerun, then moved into the Player vs Player circles of Neverwinter, gaining grudging respect among the other guilds. Things were going well, then a great cataclysm struck our world and it was no more. Many, went to other worlds, thinking Vhaerun had abanded them in their time of pain and crisis. Some found other dark gods to worship, but some, painstakingly made contact with their god, finally making contact, in Forgottenworld. These, were led once again by Poesiden, and an old Member, Toxsin, his Master of Blades. The Covenant, gains power once more, gathering the surviving people of the old world, once again forging them into the finest assassins of the realm. Where things will go from here, is the future. Guild Roleplay: In the old world, we were Assassins and opportunists who were using influence with other races to pull the drow away from Lloth. Now, with the rebirth of the new world, and lLloth lost in her own realms of chaos, those of the covenant are free to be what they are...Assassins and Mercinaries, the best money can buy. Those of the Covenant, are now free to worship whatever gods they please, only the high Councils need to be worshipeprs of Vhaerun, and to those he grants his greatest powers. The Title of the Guildmaster is The Hand of Vhaerun. The title of the assistant guildmasters are, Master of Blades, who is responsible for Player vs Player planning and training, the other Title is Master of Shadows, this title is the person who takes care of assigning assassinations, and accepting mercinary contracts. There are several titles bestowed to members of the Dark Covenant, Master Assassin, for those who PvP and RP with equal skill. Assassin for those that are pure, unadulterated killers. Master Mercinary, someone who has not yet become a full member of the Dark Covenant and Mercinary, who is just a applicant who hasnt made it past the weeding out process as of yet. PvP Rules of Conduct: No casting Direct Silence, No casting Direct Dispell, No CADding to avoid a dire spell. No whining, you whine, you leave. Trashtalk is acceptable. If you arent maxxed, dont trashtalk. Dark Covenant will not tolerate any of the above. As Dark Covenant does not use a guild tag (see ITB, HC) when you enter a fight, identify yourself, so allies know who you are, and that your brothers and sisters of the Covenant know you are incoming for extra aid. If you get called for aid, go quickly and deal death relentlessly. . Contact Information: Poesiden Joining the Dark Covenant: We have no application, all members are hand selected from old players who know pvp, or players who have shown PvP skill. Once a person is promoted to Mercinary (candidate) they will be tested extensivly on their PvP skills. If the skills are lacking, you will not be promoted further, and will be made to leave. As Forgottenworld has melee PvP, you may choose to use a Knight/Mage , Scout/mage or a Warrior/mage...as long as the Warrior is evil, and you RP EXTENSIVLY that the knight or scout is an evil darkside of said class. Otherwise, the only acceptable class is a Priest/Mage. All who are submitted for PvP test, must be maxxed, if not Maxxed, join NOR or COR. If you are merely weak, go here. Wannabe |
