The Areas
There were lots of areas in the game. I will try to remember them all and write explain them all down here.

THE FOREST
The forest was a huge, scary place. For new players. Because they would get killed by the giant spiders who were walking around there. More experienced players wouldn't have a problem there.
There were also hideouts of robbers, and there was even a mad hermit living there. The forest had a magical stone circle in the middle, with two treasure chests, guarded by two skeletons. All creatures living in the forest (including the robbers and the mad hermit) were hostile. But nonetheless it was worth going there, since the Black Stronghold, the Tower, the Gargoyle's nest and the Lizard Temple were only accesable from the forest. There were also a lot of flowers growing there, to make potions from, and you could also steal the robber's treasury. Also, the live quests were very often held in the forest.
So that makes lots of reasons to go to the forest.

THE BLACK STRONGHOLD
The Black Stronghold was a big stronghold, full of powerful enemies, traps, and magical items. The evil and powerful Shiva lived in the Black Stronghold. Right at the start, there was a trap which was very hard to see. Unexperienced players wouldn't get farther then there. You had to walk close to the walls to get past there. Behind that trap, there was a safe area. From there you could choose to go north, west ot east (since you came from the south). But, only very few brave Astonians dared to go west. And if they were, they would usually not go alone. Why? Because there were the two most powerful enemies in the game (Earl Ice Gargoyles) guarding the entrance to Shiva's room. So that leaves the north and west door to go into. There were lots of doors, chambers and teleporters behind those doors, with also enemies like undead, gargoyles, flames and skeletons. There were also lots of chests to find there, containing magical scrolls and items. Anyway, when you would go through a certain door, you would end up in a locked prison, guarded by two gargoyles. The only way to get out was to get one of the Gargoyles attack you. He (or she, who knows?) would enter the prison, quickly followed by the other one. You would have to kill them and steal the key. Then you would eventually end up with a chance to get the ankh ammy and ankh armor, but you would need magical pizza pieces to open the doors to the magical items. A bit further was Shiva. Shiva was powerful, but with a bit of strategy he could easily be defeated.

THE LIZARD TEMPLE
The Lizard Temple was a sacred area of the Lizards. But, since they kept a treasure there, it was often robbed by the Astonians. But the Lizard Knights and Archmages were powerful, so had to have much experience to be able to kill them. One of the lizards would have a key to the treasury. The temple was not big, so it was easy to find.

THE TOWER
The tower was the highest building in the game. It had 20 levels. On the last level, there were very powerful items to find. Boxing gloves for the fighters, rings for the spellcasters, and an amulet with which you were able to see everything. But it was not easy to get to the top. In fact, only like.. 3 (?) players managed to get to the top on their own in the entire game history. Now, the tower was a new place in Aston so it only excisted for like.. a year? Or a bit less. But still, 3 players in one year is not much :0. So whenever someone wanted to climb the tower, he/she would have to call in the help of noble and brave astonians. But even with a group it was not easy. The place was full of very powerful enemies (their levels get higher and higher when you get closer to the top) and instant-death traps. Every group had like a 40% chance that everyone would make it to the top. And you can understand, that when one person of the group dies, the rest of the group may not be able to make it to the top. It was a very hard and long way to the top.

THE GARGOYLE'S NEST
The Gargoyles nest was a huge treasury hall. In fact, there were lots of halls, all with a lot of Gargoyles in them, and with chests and exploration poles under the ground. The Gargoyles get stronger and stronger in every hall. There were also Ice Gargoyles in there, guarding even better treasuries. The Gargoyle's nest was often raided by the Astonians for its treasury.

THE KWAI & GORN CLAN HALLS
When the game started, there were two clans. Players had the option to join the Kwai or the Gorn hall. But I don't know anything of the clans, because they didnt excist anymore when I started to play the game. But the clan houses still excisted. The Kwai house was full of spiders, and the Gorn house was full of Ghosts. Later, an underground was added to the houses. The Gron house got a Ghost King and the Kwai house got a Spider Queen. You could also do quests there. The Spider Queen wanted you to kill the Ghost King and vice versa.

THE PENTAGRAM QUEST
The Pentagram quest was definately the largest area in the game. To get, you had to walk through the 1st level of the mines. The players usually spend most of their time in there, since it was the only place where you get really much experience to get stronger. In the start it had Grolms as enemies, later Gargoyles, then Ice gargoyles and there was even an underwater area with Sea Golems. The pentagram quest was full of pentagrams which you had to touch to get experience for them. You wouldnt get the experience immediately, but you would get it when a random number of pentagrams was active, and it would "solve". The pentagram quest was also full of exploration poles and chests.

THE LABYRINTHS
Aston had 10 labs. nr 1/9 and 13. On lab13 you could improve your character. So it was worth it to go through the other 9 first, but that could be very difficult. The puzzles got harder, the enemies got stronger, the switches got harder to find etc. It was a very fun place. some labs were very difficult though, for example lab6. To kill the guy with they key you need to solve the lab, you had to use a certain staff. But, the staff couldnt be exposed to light, or it would break. But it was a very long way to the guy and there were candles lighted everywhere, not to forget to annoying skeletons walking around there. In lab9 you had to solve riddles!:o In every lab there was an end boss. If you kill that one on your own, you wouldve passed the lab.

THE RANDOM DUNGEON
The RD was a place for everyone. It was full of npc's, and you could summon more npc's by touching a strange glowing green crystal pyramid. You would look at the npc, check his rank, and try to kill him if he/she was not too strong for you. It was a place to make good money. The npc's sometimes carried very valuable items and they always carried money. The higher the rank, the more money they carried.

THE MINES
Yep that's right. Mines. There were 3 levels in the mines. On level 1 you could find small gems and pieces of silver, but also Skeletons. There were also two chests with gold pieces, guarded by skeletons. On the second level you could find medium gems and pieces of silver, but also Golems. There was also a mudpool, containg a magical potion which would turn you into a golem for a short time, boosting your fighting stats. On the 3rd level, you could find big and huge gems, and gold pieces, but also Gargoyles. There was also a treasury in there, which was difficult to get if you didn't know where to go. With the gems (emeralds, rubies, sapphires) and silver/gold pieces you could make rings which would boost your stats a little. Huge sapphires on gold was the favorite ring of most astonians.

THE UNDERGROUND
Of course, there was also an underground. 2 levels. And what enemies would you expect to find on the 1st level? Right. Rats. But these were not normal rats, they were humanoid rats called Ratlings. There were a lot of them there, some weak, some stronger. There were 9 different kinds of ratlings. When you killed some ratlings, you could steal their eyes and eat them, or put them into a ratling eye collector, which you could give to a certain person in Aston in exchange for a magical potion. But there was also a 2nd level in the Underground. It was a dark, green, smelly place full of green humanoid rat-like enemies, called Greenlings. The greenlings were a lot stronger then the Ratlings. You could also steal the greenlings eyes to make a potion from them, or you could just eat them. The Greenling Duke's eye was much used among the Astonians, since they were easy to get for the more experienced players, and they give a nice stat boost.

THE MEMORIAL PARK
The Memorial Park was a big area full of flowers and mushrooms. It also had a Hall, which was often used for Trivia and live quests. It was build in remembrance of all the great heroes who had left the city. It had also a temple, which was often used for weddings. But mostly, the park was used for getting te flowers and mushrooms which were growing there.

THE BUILDINGS IN ASTON
Aston was full of houses. The houses were small, and there usually lived one person in a house. That person would usually have a quest for you to do. Some buildings contained enemies though, like the thieves house, or the haunted castle, or the skeleton tomb. There were 13 quests you could do, so that already makes 13 houses. For lots of quests you had to go into buildings, so that makes 22 buildings. Then, there were lots of Armor Shops in aston, making like 30 buildings. For the rest of the buildings, look below. I don't know if I missed any buildings, but it seems like there were +- 40 buildings in Aston. Maybe more. And there was something to do in EVERY building....

THE TEMPLE OF SKUA
The Temple of Skua was the starting point of the game. It was also the place where you would end up if you recalled (if you were a follower of Skua, which everyone automatically is when he enters the game) It was often full of people chatting with eachother, or just standing there. In the back of the temple there was a magical carpet; everything put on that carpet wouldn't age. Most of the time there were stes of clothes lying there for the new players.

THE BANKS
There were two banks in Aston. One west of the Temple of Skua, and one east of the Kwai Clan Hall. But the last one was almost never used. When people were talking about the bank, they were talking about the bank west of the temple. It was a place where you could deposit and withdraw money, and you could stock items there. But most of the time there were just people chatting there, and shouting out the wares they are selling.

THE INN
The Inn was the place of the PoH, the Purples of Honor. A purple of honor was a strict roleplayer. But, very few people were PoH, so the Inn was't really used as meeting place for the PoH. The Inn was an attack zone, meaning that players could kill eachother there. But without consequenses. People killed there would just end up in the temple of skua, not losing any items. You could also rent rooms on the 2nd floor. In those rooms you could leave the game safe, and in the most expensive room there were 6 chests, containg magical potions and scrolls.

THE TAVERN
The tavern was the place to leave the game. You couldnt just leave the game by clicking exit, because that could help you to get out of some nasty situations. So had to step into a tavern first. And when you would enter the game, you would enter the game in the tavern if you left the game there, otherwise in the inn if you left there, and if you laged out or just exited the game, you would start in the temple of skua.

THE ARENA
The Arena was a place where players could kill eachother, like the Inn. You wouldn't lose any of your stuff if you died there, it was just for fun. You could challenge other players to fight you, or you could make a gang and stand in the arena waiting for other gangs and then you would get a total war. This often happened between the Dutch and the Honk Kong people. *cough* Of course we Dutch guys *cough* were much stronger *cough*.

THE ARMOR & WEAPON SHOPS
There was only one weapon shop in Aston, containing two merchants, selling almost every weapon available in the game and buying every weapon. There were lots of armor shops. Every armor shop contained a different kind of armor. There was cloth, leather, bronze, steel, gold, emerald, crystal and titanium. That makes 8 armor shops.

DAMOR'S MAGIC SHOP
In Damor's Magic shop, Sigurd was selling all kinds of magical items, from rings to potions, from scrolls to armor. There also was a door in the back of the shop. Behind that door you could find Damor, and his assistant, Clara. You could also walk through the walls to find skeletons and an entrance to Underground I.

THE PURPLE TEMPLE
Anyone who wanted to be able to kill other player, had to join the purple temple instead of the temple of skua. To join the temple, you had to kill the priest. Then you could kill every other player who was also a member of the temple. This caused some nice fights between people. Followers of the purple temple would end up in the temple of the purple one when they lahgged out or recalled.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The areas above are the most well-known areas of Aston. I can't remember all of the 30 houses, lol.
Soooo.... that's it. Lots of areas. Every area was fun. Everywhere you could find people chatting or making groups to defeat powerful enemies. Yah.. those were the days :P
