Subject: RPG Scott this is not happening Ty glared at the muttering smugglers "Because I want him here!" he said before anyone could argue. "And because he is not a Starfleeter." "No, he only kisses their backends!" Mardi catcalled. "Wy he brought her here can wait. However we have been given an oppurtunity to make both a profit, and to fill a decent cause. We put this offer to a vote. Trey, do you believe this girl?" Trey hesitated. "I belive _her_." he sighed "as far as I can throw her. Unfortunately in zero G's that can be quite a toss. I'd say she wants to believe in this, and that she is not advanced in rank enough to be told anything more than what she needs to know." "So there is more here?" "Count on it. But I wouldn't know what it is, and I don't think even she knows it all. I kind f get the feeling she'd on a fishing expedition." "It's a trap." Doni stated flatly. "any moron can see that. And golden boy there waltzed her right into our secret base." Scott ignored him. "As far as she's concerned, this is what she's told you. Personally, I think Starfleet is using this to keep the Romulans in a destabilized social order." "And so we all become playthings for the Federation." Shouted Mardi "This is foolishness, let's get on with our work, and kicked these two outsiders out." "I'd like to see you try." Atreydes commented mildly, stepping away from Ty. "Enough all three of you!" Ty thundered. Scott flinched and glanced up guiltily. "I will dismiss you all from this meeting if you cannot behave like adults. This is a simple question. Do we or do we not accept this offer." The discussion ran back and forth for quite some time. People harping and reharping the same points, belaboring the obvious. Scott tried to stifle a yawn, and noticed he was not the only one. For his part, he kept his mouth shut and answered only when asked a specific question. Meanwhile he kept an eye out for Mardi and Doni, and waitied. Finally, even the most vocal had shut up, a vote was called. "Well." Ty said, blinking "the Ayes have it." Of course, "this said to a grinning Scott "it is on our terms." He shrugged "I think it always was." A phaser shot slammed into the bulkhead right besides Trey head. He had had a sp,lit second warning from Bonnie that had sent his tumbling to the floor. The move saved his life. Even as the smugglers reached for the assasin, Scott drew his hidden phaser and fired. Mardi slumped to the ground. "Find Doni!" Ty roared, and glanced at the felled body. He stifled a gasp and stepped back. Trey looked and gaped. Gelatinous ooze seeped through the floor and was gone. So was what was left of Mardi's body. Ty spared a second glance at the weapon in Treys' hand. The look was almost scolding, almost amused, and mostly interested. "Since when have you carried a hidden weapon?" "Since I grew up." He answered. "I'm not the naive boy you took in, not even the battered child you helped raise." "And your fear of being a target?" "Seemed very justified at this point." Scott glanced over his shoulder. "I think someone painted a target on my back and forgot to notiofy me."
