Traci held up her hands for silence.
"I know your group is well known for its altruism. Ty has told me that your kindness is getting harder and harder to live on. I have a solution for both of these problems. Before the Romulan Federation war, Ambassador Spock went to Romulus and helped give strength to the peace movement there. Although during the war, teh group was very active, the Romulan government has begun a crackdown on what they lable "terrorists." This movement is too important to be crushed. It is the first real indication that there are some Romulans willing to listen and discuss peace." 
"Not to mention destabilizing the Romulan government and maintaining your power hold over them?" Scott argued acidly. He hadn't known what the SDA had been planning, but it certainly wasn't altruistic at its core.
 Traci glared at him. She had not expected him to show his fangs at this stage of the game. He was supposed to be on _her_ side, even though he hated it. 
Especially if he hated it.
"In fact." Trey continued "You don't really know _why_ they would want to help the Romulans would you?"
 "This doesn't concern you Mr. Scott." She replied. 
"She is right Trey." Ty interrupted calmly, as the terran opened his mouth to start a fresh argument. "So I will then ask the same question. What does your Starfleet get from this?" 
"Mr Spock is a very influential member in our space. He as well as Vulcan are pressuring us to assist them." 
This much was true, she knew. 
"And the profit?"
"Will be considerable." Traci assured them. "Even more so because of the risk. If any of you were caught, the Federation would disavow any knowledge of you."
 "In other words, we'd be alone?" Asked a voice. "Nothin' new there."
 "We will discuss this." Ty told her "Alone."
 Trci nodded, and began to leave.
"Trey, remain here."
That got a reaction from the girl, but she merely nodded and stormed off quietly
