Lee Corbin - Fireraven

Founder of the Gothic Gardening group

Lee passed to the summerlands on March 22, 2003.

The work she put into making Gothic Gardeners a successful group will be appreciated by everyone who loves the dark side of gardening. A look into the files and bookmarks section will allow anyone to see what a thorough job of researching all aspects of gardening she did, and what a passion for information she had (she was also an incredibly patient organizer!). Her posts, full of facts and warmth, will be missed by all who had the chance to read them.

Lee loved her piece of land, Laughing Raven, in the New Mexico Rockies, and hoped that the valley would be spared development. A lover of coffee and green chilies, she was a glass artist, a collector of plants, books and beads, and made some truly exceptional jewelry. She was a regular poster on alt.gothic.fashion, where I first met her.

Lee acted as moderator, librarian, "untangler of the kinks" (technical support) and faithful friend for the owner of the Circle of Bean-Tighe Yahoo group.

She leaves behind her daughter, Diana, and her beloved husband, Robin.

I miss Lee very much, she was the only person who ever called my mangy chickens "living yard art"! She's gardening in the Summerlands now, replanting them with dark foliage and black flowers.
We'll keep this flame burning in your memory, Lee.
