Scariest Places on Earth is a Fox Family Channel show that is hosted by Linda Blair and
deals with various places around the world that are allegedly haunted. The shows usually start
with Alan Robson (pain in the ass) yakking about ‘why would anyone want to go here’ blah blah. Well I say ‘Screw you Alan Robson’ the show would be like 50% better without him and that evil little mini-lady from the poltergeist movies. Like I was saying, after he ramble on aimlessly, the bring out some history of the place and there are usually various paranormal investigators, mediums, psychic, etc. that go through the place and check it out to see if there is any sort of a haunting. (I found out that the people that they have investigating the place usually don’t really know anything about the place in question, so they are the real thing.) Occasionally they have a family thing, where a family gets chosen to go into a place and they are rigged up with cameras, equipment, etc. and they have to spend the night in a place and try to document any activity and to determine if it is haunted.
I originally was going to put this page up with proof that the different places from the
show are actually haunted and are true, documented things. I started research with the episode
that was taped here (New Orleans), at Magnolia Lane Plantation. I was intrigued because I had
never heard of it prior to the show,  and no one seemed to know that it even existed. So I got to
asking around, beginning with the local ghost tours, and one of them directed me to Mimi
Lansou, who was on the show investigating the house. She runs an occult shop in the French
Quarter, so she wasn’t hard to track down. Click HERE to read what I was able to dig up on the
house. What I found out from Mimi, upset me a little bit, but she did say that they are honestly
trying to find out if it’s haunted, so I figured, they have a show to put on so they have to dress it
up a bit. Little did I know...
Upon researching and communicating to various people, what I soon found out really
pissed me off, for lack of better words. There are several accounts of where they edit different
bits of the show to make it look like something happened that really did not. The Jersey Devil
episode is a PERFECT example of this. They edited it in a way that made it seem like Laura (one of the Jersey Devil Hunters) saw something int e woods and went totally mental. I managed to find the website they featured on the episode, and they have what Laura actually saw. Click HERE to go to their webpage. I’ve also found some articles pertaining to the Athens, Ohio show . The person the producers contacted is a Athens historian and ‘ghost expert’. He shared with them, true, documented hauntings in the area and from the different places the show went to. Upon the show airing, he was appalled. 95% of what they were saying on the show was absolute B.S., he even got a phone call from an associate who was upset and wanted to know why he told them those lies, the thing is that he didn’t.
I’m to the point where I don’t know what to believe anymore. I know from what I learned
from Mimi, and the places are haunted. It’s the stories they give you before hand that are
horseshit. I’m highly upset because I really dug the show, and I’m to the point where I don’t want to be bothered anymore. I got the one of the producers’ personal e-mail address from the Jersey Devil website and this is my two cents I gave him:
Why is it that if a place is TRULY haunted, lies are thrown into the mix? I am from New Orleans, I know that the story about the major at Magnolia Lane is a total CROCK. I know from personal accounts of the people who investigated the house. I've also had the chance to speak with people from Athens, Ohio, and I can't believe that things were added that are untrue. Also I've spoken with the people that were involved with the "Urban Legends" episode, and they said things were added on and sounds edited in, and that the editing in general made it appear what it was. If I were in charge, I'd put an end to the lying, because word is getting out about the lies. The respectable people that have lent their services to the show are being made out to be idiots due to the lack of respectability on your end. No one will be willing to help anymore if they are made out to be fools. I am VERY disappointed in the show, it was my favorite show, and now it's becoming repulsive because I don't know what's true or false. Please search your conscience, and either stop lying or take the show off of the air.

P.S. Alan Robson sucks, and is a moron who needs to come up with better lines to say to the people, and from everyone I've talked to, the narrarator (from poltergeist) really should be ditched, too.
I urge you to send an e-mail to this butt head also and let him know about himself. Or you can go the webpage and rant in the ‘feedback’ section. I’ve done both. I figured it couldn’t hurt. I haven’t seen the show since the ‘Dracula’s Castle’ episode, so If anyone else has, let me know what’s up.
