Hey! What is this? An epilogue? Well, kinda... it's more my way of keeping all the stories linked and tied together.
In the first one, Heero got his girl, but it wasn't really about him as much as it was her. So I make sure I link them all together, and probably will be ending them all with a few pages about Heero and what he's up to because stories 2 and 3 and probably even 4 all happen at the same time, all of the pilots being connected through Heero. So I'm giving him little bits here and there instead of his own fic.
Epilogue starts right where the end of Katie left off. I'm sorry if I'm confusing you!

Part Five: Epilogue
Heero hung
up the phone with the galaxy operator and shook his head, strange things were
happening.
The laptop
on his bed made a ringing sound that signaled an incoming e-mail.
Heero saw it was from Trowa and skimmed it quickly.

KILLERKARNY
Where
are these girls coming from? First
you, and Duo, now me. Nola decided
not to leave the circus, showed up in my bed and it was the first time I’ve
lost a battle and not minded. Catherine
sends her greetings to Lily.
Heero
sat back, raising his eyebrows. It
was a good thing Lily’s parent’s liked him, or they might have suspected him
of doing something like that.
‘At
the risk of sounding Wufei,’ he thought to himself, ‘sex is a commitment,
especially when you live with the person. A
burden I’m not willing to deal with.’
A
voice in the back of his mind seemed to disagree, But could you turn Lily away if she appeared in your bed one night?
“That’s
different,” Heero said aloud, “Trowa is with the circus, no one is going to
mother him. Lily’s parents sleep
down the hall. Self control is easy
then.”
Is
it now? Easy, no… but you would
turn her away.
“Shut
up,” Heero grumbled and went downstairs to join Lily and her family for
dinner.
Afterward,
Lily’s mom washed the dishes and he dried.
If the other pilots could see him doing something so… domestic,
they’d laugh. Heero always helped
with the dishes. Lily’s mother
would chatter on about things that he didn’t care about… but still he would
listen. She was the only maternal
influence he’d ever had and he found her banter… soothing, normal.
The routine was calming, even if the chore was trivial.
However,
this evening he could not relax, his mind kept sliding back to what Trowa had
said. Could he turn Lily away?
“Heero?”
He
nearly dropped the plate, “Ma’am?”
“Anything
on your mind you want to talk about?”
‘The
possibility of your daughter showing up in my bed tonight?
Not in this life time,’ he thought to himself.
“No,
ma’am.”
She
rested a hand on his shoulder, “All right. Goodnight
then.”
Heero
ascended the stairs slowly, still thinking.
He
entered his room and closed the door behind him before he realized there was
someone else in there.
Lily
was curled up under his covers, the blanket pulled up to her chin.
Could
you turn her away?
passed through his mind over and over.
“Lily,”
he rasped, then cleared his throat, “What are you doing here?”
She
smiled and looked at him through lowered lashes, “Waiting for you,” she
said, throaty and seductive.
“Lily…
Lily… umm…”
“This
is so cute.”
“What?”
She
sat up and pushed the covers down to reveal her fully clothed form.
Lily stood and smiled at Heero, “You stuttering… it’s cute.
I finally caught you off guard.”
He
gave her a surprised and confused look.
“I
read Trowa’s e-mail.”
“You—”
He caught himself and took a deep breath, closed his eyes, counted to ten and
opened his eyes.
“I’m
sorry,” she said, spreading her arms.
He
dodged her implied hug and began straitening his bed covers, “Don’t touch
me.”
“You’re
really upset with me because I pulled a joke on you?”
“I’m
not upset.”
“Then
what’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
Liar, said the voice at the
back of his mind.
“I
said I was sorry.”
Could
you turn Lily away?
“Lily,
get out.”
“But
Heero—”
“Get
out!” he turned and shot her the infamous Heero death glare.
To
her credit, she didn’t run screaming from the room.
She flinched but held his gaze as he stared her down.
Lily
closed the space between them with a few trembling steps.
“When
I met you… I cried to prove I was human,” tears trickled down her cheeks,
“and I kissed you to prove that you were.”
She
stared at him, “I can’t right now.”
She
ran from the room and Heero dropped down onto his bed.
Her meaning was not lost on him.
Now
look what you’ve done, Heero, you disappointed her.
She thought you were human, or could at least understand her feelings.
Guess she made a mistake, oh well, she is after all, only human.
“Shut
up,” Heero muttered, “It hurt enough coming from her.”
Pain?
But you don’t feel pain, remember, Mr.
I-don’t-need-a-doctor-I’ll-just-pop-it-back-into-place-myself-thanks.
Heero
growled at his own inner voice and made for Lily’s room.
Music
was playing rather loud and when he tapped on the door, she didn’t open it.
Heero
opened the door a crack and peeked in, she was no where to be see.
Sounds of moving hangers came from within her walk-in closet so Heero
slipped silently into the room and closed the door.
After
a moment she walked back into the room wearing an over-sized t-shirt to sleep in
and was wiping dried tears from her face.
She
didn’t notice Heero in the corner and moved to her stereo, turning it off then
went to stand before the window.
Lily
looked out for a moment and yawned, stretching her arms up, raising her shirt
high on her legs.
Heero
made a small noise without meaning to and she whirled around, “Heero!”
He
stopped forward, “Do you always stretch like that in front of the window?”
Lily
crossed her arms over her stomach, “Disgusted?”
He
shrugged, “Possessive. What if
someone else saw you?”
She
shrugged in return, “What are you doing in my room?”
His
hands curled around her upper arms and drew her near, “I came to convince you
that I’m human. Having you not
believe in me… feels wrong.”
Lily
brushed his hair back from his face, combing her fingers through his constantly
messy bangs, “I didn’t think my opinion mattered so much.”
“You
know it does.”
She
smiled but it disappeared quickly, “You really scared me you know.”
“I
know.”
“When
you told me to leave, it was like you wanted me to die, not leave.
Like I could drop dead on the spot and you wouldn’t care.
Who trained you to be so monstrous?”
He
shook his head and took his hands away from her, “You were right, there is no
reason for you to think me human.”
She
caught his shirt and slipped her hands under it, “Yet I constantly find myself
wanting to remind you that you are.”
Lily
kissed him and he let her for a moment before raising his hands to her ribs and
pressing.
She
pushed away from him laughing, “No tickling!”
“You
laugh so easily. It fascinates
me.”
She
smiled and moved to kiss him again but he stepped back, “No, you can make me
forget myself. You go to sleep;
I’m going back to my room before your parents find me in here.”
“No
goodnight kisses?” she asked, sitting down on her bed.
He
bent and kissed her, pursing his lips when she tried to deepen it.
She flicked her tongue across his closed mouth and stuck out her lower
lip, “You’re no fun.”
He
shook his head and traced her jaw with his fingertips before heading back for
his room.
Once
he was alone, he stripped down to his shorts and opened his laptop.

These
girls will be our undoing. We were
never trained to fight them and will undoubtedly lose every time.
I have a sole purpose now and that makes me weak.
Heero stared at the screen for a moment before deleting the entire message and closing his computer.

END???
