| BLOOD HORDE:LEGIONS OF INFERNAL BEASTS ----- Chaotic Sounds with haunting tormented screams. As lots would compare the music to Abruptum and the like, Blood Horde creates a raw barbaric ambience of Darkness. The atmosphere of Legions of Infernal Beasts demo is quite remarkable. Blood Horde is Pure Satanic Torture! -Alexis Gaqnon Blood Horde is an one man band from USA and here I have their second demotape called "Legions of Infernal Beasts". Musically speaking this is not black metal, not metal at all, but dark ritualistic ambient. The tape offers 9 songs quite different from each other under the musical aspect: some are based on martial drums and atmospheric synths effects, others are gloomy and dark melodies, others are mostly composed by noisy effects, deep basses, sometimes also filtered vocals appear to vomit antihuman satanic lyrics...I can compare some songs to MZ412, just a bit more minimalistic. Beside this technical differences, the entire work spreads the stench of death and hate; the result is good, lovers of this kind of art will like it. TRACKLIST: 1. Upon the summit of sun 2. Finale call of the goat 3. Within the bowels of hell 4. Darkness within the blood 5. Forsake wilds of screaming soldiers 6. Black goat cult 7. Diabolic torment 8. Unholy vows of the serpent rider 9. Engis bellator -OF PESTILENCE HOLOCAUST:STORMING BLASPHEMY ----- Short but brutal.Four rehersal tracks from 98-99 are compiled on this one cassete. RAW and SICK - Imagine old blasphemy in the rehersal room and you'de be close... no idea where these guys are from, but they are no relation to the NWOBHM band. -Lord Vic This is the third band that I know of with the name "HOLOCAUST." I really wish I could tell you about them, but the recording on this tape has hit a new low when it comes to lo-fi recordings. Yeah, there's some vocals and some drums there... guitar too, but it's all so low that I can't really hear a damn thing. More bedroom black metal, I guess. This is probably an unfair review overall, but if I can't hear anything more than a low buzz, how can I fairly review it? -Metal Nightmare Zine BLOOD HORDE:THE CONQUEST OF DARKNESS ----- "Based on one vision of the world dead from the ultimate war, where the minions of Satan have come victorious over all"...in this way Blood Horde describes its first official release, 21 minutes of dark celebrations of the Grey Wastelands, the world finally conquered by Satan. The style is always the same, dark ambient, but now even more minimalistic than the previous demo release, almost no drums, no melodies (except last song), just black atmospheric sounds, bass and sick filtered vocals this time in all songs. Now you can really expect a minimalistic MZ412-style, as there are many effects reminding that great band. The morbid, rarefied style is now more than in previous releases strictly related to the concept behind this album, the representation of void and absence of life. If you liked Blood Horde previous works you won't be disappointed by this one. TRACKLIST: 1. Dark prophecies 2. Warriors and heretics 3. And the war beats mighty 4. Battering ram 5. Black goat cult(original) 6. Of power and barbaric will 7. The conquest of darkness -OF PESTILENCE |
