Above is an example of a battle at one of the SCA events we attended in July 2003.
It is called "Simple Day" and it is the last big event in our area before Pennsic (the GrandDaddy of them all!).

Generally, the House of Dark Laughter is in attendance at the following events during the year:
- Twelfth Night (sometime in January)
- Val Day (February)
- Blackstone Raid (in April and only when Brianna can get everyone to go!)
- Baron Wars (May)
- Coronation or Crown Tourney (sometime in May)
- Baronial Border War (June)
- Simple Day (July)
- Pennsic (August)
Dark Laughter would be in attendance at all of these if things were going well and everyone was in a good mood, had the finances, etc.
