| Logan's Playpen Logan asks to borrow a ride from Alfred Alfred says he has anticipated his needs and takes him to the car port He eventually finds his way to a Harley and hands Logan the keys. Logan sits on a tracking device Logan comes back in the house and asks for a local map. Alfred has one for him and also prints off topographical maps as well Logan makes his way to Aaron Jones workplace. Logan arrives in jeans, jean jacket and cowboy hat in the "High Rent District" He calls Oracle (Spidey) to get additional information on building Spidey says law office of Schulman and Schulman are on 14th and 15th floors The receptionist takes one look at him and turns her nose He says he has business with them She suggests another law firm "downtown" When he asks to use the bathroom he is told it is for customers only He again asks for representation and says they came highly recommended When she asks what he needs representation for, he says Tax evasion She mentions they are a criminal firm and he states that this could very well lead to criminal charges He is asked to fill out an application. Name: Annual Salary: Reason for Representation: etc etc etc He puts down his salary as $150k and again asks to use the bathroom She looks dubious and he changes the figure to $350k stating "Whoops, I made that mistake last year as well" with a toothy grin. She points him to the bathrooms He notices a rent-a-cop who has made his way down the hall casually positioning himself between Logan and the door to the main offices. Tim calls Bobby and makes arrangements to rent some park time at a local skateboard rink. Bobby and Tim are local gods for a day. Bruce, Dick, and Alfred settle Barbara comfortable into the Manor. Dick heads back out to get equipment to set her up. Bruce heads down to the cave and the Bat Computer to do some additional follow-up on the McMasters case. In the bathroom he again calls Oracle and asks for a diversion Spidey gives him several options and Logan tells him to pick He tells him it is about to get wet on the 15th floor Building evacuation ensues. Spidey mentions that Aaron is no longer at his desk, he has hacked into the security monitors of the Firm As Logan heads to the street, Spidey searches through Aaron's network files finding his work PC to be off As Logan heads out to the street he notices people disassociating with him as if he is beneath them in their $500 coats and high class clothes. One woman is giving him the look over and Logan hears her mutter a very flattering comment about her rodeo days and going the distance. She cops a feel on the way out. Logan gives her a come hither look as he makes his way out. He catches another flattering comment as she politely and frustratingly declines. He discerns which way the smoke is blowing and looks upwind. He notices someone fitting Aarons description in a Java Shop up the street. He lights up a Cuban and makes his way over. He confirms it is Aaron at a window front table. He crushes out the Cuban and heads in. After placing an order he grabs a napkin, bums a pen and scribbles a note to Aaron. On the Note he writes that he is friends of Don Thomas. He is looking for some additional information. He then requests for him to call (Bobby's cell number) if he has any additional information. He casually bumps into him knocking the wet papers he was organizing all over the floor. Aaron is visibly shaken as Logan offers to help him pick them up. As he does so he slides the napkin within the papers. He excuses himself politely and makes his exit. Logan signals Bobby and asks if he is busy Bobby says yes and disconnects He asks Spidey to have all calls going to Bobby's phone from Gotham traced, recorded and re-directed to his Bat Com. Spidey calls Nightstick to use his phone as a test. He gets Shannon who tells him Timmy will be available in about 5 minutes. A semi out of breath Timmy answers the phone and Spidey asks for assistance in trying his new phone hack. He agrees and they determine it works as Logan answers the other end. Timmy asks who it is even as he recognizes Logan's voice. Logan clicks off. Timmy asks Spidey what is going on and Spidey is obviously 'Spider-Dancing' and attempting not to say. Timmy offers his help how ever needed and Spidey hangs up. Spidey finds a way to do so with Oracle's systems without interfering with the direct microwave relay already established by Robin. Logan heads back to Wayne Manor Nightstick calls Batman to check in and mention he was coming to Gotham tonight. Batman invites him on a 10pm patrol. When he asks if he knows if anything is up with Spidey as he is acting strange, Batman says yes and he will explain tonight. Batman gives him a list of items to investigate in reference to the McMasters case. Nightstick mentions he will ask Spidey for assistance on one item. He investigates and surprises himself at how easy it was to get the information. Just to confirm he has Oracle(Spidey) double check him and he comes up with the same info. The Swiss account was in fact funded from McMasters Biotech facility. Brimstone was paid from this account as well as Slade Winters. When Brimstones accounts were checked, she was found to have made payments to both Poison Ivy, Yellow Jacket, and Mandrake. Also the following information was gained about Poison Ivy and Clayface: Incarcerated at time of McMasters Abduction Y-N: Ivy - No Clayface - Yes Was there any activity indicating connections between any of the above and what Ivy was up to: Yes and No After setting Barbara up, Dick finds Bruce. He asks him about precautions to make sure Logan does not 'disturb' Barbara. Bruce mentions he doesn't think it is a concern as Logan rarely comes into the house. Dick suggests "We could always just ask him not to, he is also Tachibani after all." Bruce, Dick and Logan have dinner. Dick does in fact ask Logan not to disturb their house guest. Bruce gets specific and tells him to stay off the third floor. Logan is more than agreeable. Robin calls in from Brentwood and asks if batman will need him tonight. He is told not especially and he begs off to catch up on studying. Everyone rendezvous's for the patrol. Batman gives Nightstick clearance to drive one of the other Batmobile's. Spidey and Iceman team up with Nightstick. Logan with Batman. Following up on the Poison Ivy angle Batman pulls up data and info on two brothers who are well known in the thug community, Damio and Niklus Frenetti. They are unstable and as such have no fear. It took GREAT amounts of pain from Batman in the past to gleam any info from them. This information gathering lent itself to months of intensive care for the two. They are well sought after as henchmen in Gotham and Poison Ivy has used them on more than one occasion. Engines roar and the night welcomes them. They pull up to the first of three known hang outs for the Frenetti's. Batman tells Nightstick and Logan they are going in and pulls a disguise kit from the back of the Batmobile. As he approaches Nightstick, Nightstick pulls a mask from under the darkness of his face seeming to peel away a layer. As Batman works on him the shadows shift and change across his face allowing access but not revealing his identity. Logan whines like a woman when his disguise is applied. Logan swaggers to the bar. They enter the bar get a few drinks and make small talk with the bartender. Nightstick uses the bathroom and looks through the wall to determine their quarry is not in the back room. The bartender asks Logan if he is looking for some action. Logan steers the conversation to 'Rough Neck work". Bartender says he has no part of that action and suggests another bar. Batman name drops to Nightstick via Bat Mic to get some 'inside info'. The name does little. They head to the next bar which is on the fourth floor and has a four tiered stairwell entrance up the center of the building. On the way up someone begs of Nightstick. Batman shadows them inside. He notices a shiv and as he leans over to talk to the guy, head butts him into unconsciousness. He asks Logan to check his disguise. They enter the bar and it is elbow to elbow. Batman enters and is spotted by one of the patrons. Both Nightstick and Wolverine see the look in the man's eyes from across the room. Nightstick covers the surface of his eyes with shadow giving him something else to think about. Batman amazingly makes it to a corner without being seen or noticed otherwise. As Logan and Nightstick make to the bar, Logan notices Nightstick bump into many people because of the crowding. One in particular looks him up and down as he passes and gets an 'itch' to his face. Logan notices that Nightstick senses it. As Logan passes him, he moves in behind Logan to start after Nightstick. Logan spins to confront him. After telling him to shove off Logan turn around and is billy clubbed in the low back. He turns around and tells the man how stupid he is and calmly threatens him again. The man thinks about it, thinks again, and proves himself to be a moron as he faces down Logan. In the middle of a heated exchange, Logan feels someone move up behind him, and hears Nightstick's voice. He insults the man and tells him in no uncertain terms they will wipe the floor with him in 10 minutes downstairs. Just him, just Logan, and he can bring as many guys as he wants. The guy doesn't believe him at first, but something in Logans stance and Timmy's eyes makes him think the idiots actually will show. On the way out Logan starts to drool.... as they hit the first landing Nightstick turns to him. "You know we are going to avoid this fight, we are on assignment." Logan mopes his way down the stairs As the hit the second landing the goons start to follow. Nightstick asks Logan if he still has the Starlight goggles. Logan taps them, Nightstick suggests putting them on. When they hit the street, Nightstick takes one look back and the stairway is plunged into darkness. The pop of two autographnels was followed by Nightstick and Logan landing quietly on the roof. As the cops arrived Logan spit over the edge onto the thugs. The team swung to the next building. Logan asked to stay behind, Nightstick said he would go in alone. Batman said to wait a minute and stepped back into the shadows. He emerged a few moments later as Matches Malone. Bobby was awestruck and asked "Where do you learn to do all this stuff?" Nightstick and Batman went in. They did not see their quarry on the bottom floor and made their way to the second floor. Batman and Nightstick noticed that Nightsick was recognized and a cell call was placed. As they searched the top floor. Nightstick made his way to a window and was 'accosted' by a Lady of the Evening. Meanwhile the thugs from the other bar showed up outside 12-15 strong. Logan recognized the last one on the way in as he head into the bar. |
