The numbers in brackets next to the name of the weapon is the damage caused when the character hits another character with that chosen weapon. For example, if they are using a knife and hit another character then the character who hit will roll a d3 (three-sided die) and the result shown will be the amount of damage delt from the blow.
At the Head of each Table will be shown what type of damage the weapon falls under. Some professions can not use certain weapons while others can. Be sure to reference the race and profession of the character you choose to make sure they can use a weapon before you choose it. The weapons that are named after a specific race or profession can only be used by that race or profession and no other when first choosing weapons on the Character Creator.
Weapons starting at and capable of doing 8 points of damage make the character slower on the attack and defensive. This means, beginning at weapons that can do 8 points of damage, the character wielding the weapon gains a penalty of 1 to their init score and 1 to their dodge score. The penalty increases 1 point for each point of damage over 8. Example: A character using a Plated Staff [d10] would suffer a +3 to their Init (they roll a 5, their actual init would be 8) and a +3 to dodge (they roll a 10 their actual dodge roll would be 13).
All forms of hand-to-hand damage, including kicking, headbutts, etc... do 1pt of damage and bypass Armor Rank.

In the table below, Arrows must be used with Bows, Blow Darts must be used with Blow Guns, and Bolts must be used with Crossbows. Any Dart, Arrow, or Bolt not used with the appropriate weapon will only do 1 point of damage. When created and a character has chosen arrows, blow darts, or bolts, they will begin with the appropriate weapon that fires them.
