Whats Going On?

I'm told that because of one grade
I'm blowing my ride
"Never gonna go anywhere"
"Your not trying"
"School is just a socilize event for you"
I'm told that I can't have a mind of my own
That I'm to young
"You can't know what you want"
"I'm your mother"
"I know whats best for you"

I'm told that I can't see the papers
They are an adult matter
"It was imature for him to show you them"
"Your only a kid"
"You can never understand"

Whats going on?
Why am I told this?
Is this supposed to help me in some way?
Is this what being a teenager about?

Can't be
Shouldn't be
Please tell me
Whats going on?

Shattared Wings

I used to stand proud
Strong and tall
Nothing hurt me
I thrived on the pressure of the modern world
Nothing could hold me down
Now I still stand
But I'm hurt
My once obsesion with pressure
Has now broken me down
The pain that I once craved
Is now to much for me

I've been left behind
With shattered wings

The Messenger

Many people say that they laugh in the face of death
That no matter what comes
Death cannot touch them
It will never take them

But what happens to them
When the Raven comes
When it spreads is black wings
And comes for them

The Raven brings them a task
One that they cannot help but take
Only if they are smart
Will they live

The Raven comes to them
It tells them what to do
The arrogance of the person it comes to
Drives them to take that which the Raven brings

The Raven is always there
It makes sure they do what He asked them to
It sits there watching
Never ruffling a single black feather

The Raven takes what it came for
After the task is done
It takes your soul
To it�s dark master, Death

Then it perches on his shoulder
It�s blazing red eyes watching
His black feathers never move
He never flinches a muscle

Watching
Waiting
For his next victim

Tribute

You said that we would always be together
That we were stronger than the evil around us
But thats not what happened

You said that you would be back
That when you got back it would be ok
But thats not what happened

You said you would always be there for us
That nothing could take you from us
But thats not what happened

I remember that day
You came to us that morning
You said that you would be back
Told us to stay and wait

How was I supposed to know
That when you hugged and kissed me
It would be the last time I would touch you
How was I supposed to know
That when you told me you loved me
It would be the last time I would hear your voice
How was I supposed to know
That when I looked into your eyes
It would be the last time I would see them
See them alive

The messenger came that night
He handed me a feather from your wing
Said that you said "I love you and I'm sorry"
With your last breath

Why did this have to happen?
Why were you taken from us?
Why did it have to be you?
Why did you have to fall in such a foolish way?
