This is not to say that they are controlled by their decision, rather, it means that through their singular decision to remain focused to the cause, they accept the effects of all future actions to be ones that are meant to help the side they have chosen. Thus, through one life changing decision, a man makes himself truly free."
Most of the time we are not aware when we indeed made the decision. It is not us that makes it. It is us. Something that trascends through the lifetimes and all that various, momentary decisions of life. For most of the people who decide at one moment to take on the spiritual road with their heart, this decision is already being made, long ago, by their spiritual selves. It was only waiting to come to unison with the current life-scheme so to manifest itself. We believe to discover something new and embrace the path? It is only an echo of our divine essence which leads us towards accomplishing its destiny of choice. It is its Calling.
But the question remains: to what degree we are free after making THE decision? Indeed, our existence already takes the particular road, towards a particular direction. We had chose it. It is ours. Whatever we do, will also be subjected to the colors of much greater picture, which we decided to become part of. We are already responcible. We are already THE soldiers.
Freedom? Well, minding all that is being said above, the freedom of choice will of course remain; but always together with the cause-effect. From now on, it is so. What we do, no matter how small, affects the bigger picture. Because we did chose to grant our resources to it. And it starts to use them, accordingly.
What is better - to be free from anything, have it all that you have, but never be able either to lose, or gain? Or devote your life and destiny and lose that freedom of "just be"?
Man always dreams to be a part of something greater. Hence the religions. The path. Everything. But this is not the main reason to make THE choice and yet, remain turly free. The reason is a little different.
It is the freedom to HAVE the responcibility and the freedom to KNOW that your actions, no matter how small you are, will affect the future of your chosen Side. The freedom to LOVE and the freedom to devote your mortal and immortal existence towards prosperity and betterness of that which you serve and value. Towards Victory. And to become a part of the change that comes after every vital step, even if after this victory the cause-effect would bring decay. And then another rise. And another victory. Untill the Universe lasts - Together.
