Many don�t follow any path in life. Having no true purpose in life other than to simply live. But what is there to live for if one has no purpose? Some do follow a specific path and others simply have simple goals, like revenge or to become billionaires. But how is one to know what path or goal is the one that is the most right?
Well think of nature. What is the goal in nature? Survival. All species evolve around their own survival. We as humans invent object that help us in everyday life, objects that make our life easier, others that in other words help us preserve out selves.
When you are cut, don�t you nurse your wound? Because that is what it is all about, self-preservation. Some seek to preserve their species as a whole others seek only to preserve their own existence, some their immediate family and so on. I seek to preserve my own existence. Why? Well why should I seek to preserve others than myself? If you can separate yourself from all moral and feelings, there is no other logical answer. You preserve you and the man next door preserves himself. Why mix it? It is simply nature�s selection of the strong and the weak. It is who prevails in life and who doesn�t.
So how do you preserve yourself?
Firstly there is the matter of what your body needs, being the fundamental elements of your being. Then you look at how you can better your chances. Well, if there were no threats to your existence your being would be relatively insured. Alternatively if you control the competition or threats then not only would you be able to use it against any future threats, but you would still have your existence relatively insured. Then the question arises as to how you control your competition. Well through power. Power over others, power over your own mind, power over the elements. All in all, Power.
Power.
Power is the fundamental tool in bettering your chances for survival. The power of the mind and the inner-self being the greatest two as they pave the road for all other forms of power. If one does not posses control over his own emotions, he cannot hope to influence those of others�. Power over others is the most common form of power seen in this day and age. To have others follow you and do your bidding does, after all, increase your own chance of survival. But power over others is also the easiest form of power to achieve. This can be achieved by manipulating them, playing on their emotions, such as their love, compassion, fear, need, joy, well all feelings can be used one way or the other, greed being one of the more common. Then off cause there are the more mystical forms of power. If one wishes to believe in the supernatural, then it must be controlled also. The more forms of power are mastered the better the chances of survival. However having power is one thing, to control it is another.
