The Jensari Knight
There is much mystery and many misconceptions about the Jensari. Because the Name comes from the I jedi book, people automatically think that is what Jensari are. This is not true. We here at Force Academy take names from the books, yes, but we do not base our orders on them. They are just names, nothing more, nothing less. I write these lectures in hopes of informing you, the students of the Dark Side, just what the Jensari are.
The Jensari Order finds much of its history and foundation in the Martial Arts and Warrior Ways of Feudal Japan. While studying the Warrior ways of the Jensari, you will find many similarities and conjunctions that you can look up in books like The book of the 5 Rings, Hagekure, The art of War, and Budoshoshinshu. While these books form the basis for our Jensari way, they by no means form the only version of it. One of our main traits is that we are the Masters of Adaptability; this being a constant life-long process. It can not be fully explained, but can be fundamentally understood and worked into the daily routine. We the Jensari strive to Adapt instantly to every situation, smoothly and flawlessly. Our way is open to much personal interpretation. Since we are the Military force of the Dark Side, we are also steeped in tradition and traits. As long as those are followed, the Jensari Warrior is free to develop the rest of their personal beliefs and to incorporate them into their lives.
What makes the biggest difference between the Jensari Warrior and the other Dark Side Factions is our view of the world. The Jensari are not trained to view the world like this; they have the feelings and way born into them. Most Jensari have felt like this for their whole life, but haven't been aware of why. For a Jensari every day, every minute, every job, is a fight, an enemy that must be conquered. Even the most simple things, like going to school, are a battle. Below is a little scene of a school from the Jensari's point of view.
" He sits back, waiting patiently for his turn to come. The teacher stands erect at the front of the classroom, asking for the answer to this math question. The Force flows through him, charging him, urging him to win, to obtain victory. He remembers the way of the Jensari, he hears his Master say in his mind, "we do not fail." Instantly his hand is raised, waiting for the chance to beat the other students with his knowledge. He must conquer this assignment... then the teacher calls his name and peace settles on him. He has won."
This is an example of the Jensari Warrior's way of dealing with life; everything being a challenge he must overcome. Nothing and No-one can stand in his way of victory. Yet if he is defeated he takes it honorably. To a Jensari, fighting without honor is unacceptable; and fighting those with no chance of winning, with no skill to match your own, is dishonorable. Most Jensari Warriors have found themselves doing this for as long as they can remember, but have no clue why. Psychology teaches us that all mankind has a cast they are born into. This doesn't mean you can't change or ignore it. Some are born with a mentality and a way of viewing life that others are not. This is what defines the Warrior ways of the Jensari. Even though one can learn to be a Warrior, the Jensari are made up of those born to be one. You can only be yourself, nothing more and nothing less. We embrace the Shadow of mankind's soul, the Darkness that Lurks within all the universe, and become Warrior of the Dark, a position we hold very dear to us, and will never betray.
I hope this has informed you a little more of the Way of the Jensari Warrior
