I made up our name: Rotes Band means Red Ribbon in German. No, we have nothing to do with drug prevention! We are named, however, for the symbolism behind the color red, and the object that is a ribbon. Red is the color of passion, courage, and pioneering. We hope to have all of those qualities present in every story we make, breaking the mold, and really putting everything we have into each manga we create! A ribbon is a beautiful bond that you can tie to almost anything you want. We hope to tie the bonds of our lives, expiriences, and emotions to everything we create, and tie them beautifully. Thus, the name Rotes Band! Oh, yeah, and why is it in German? Because it sounds cooler, ne? (And so that we don't sound like a drug prevention place...)
