| Ever since getting the cobalt blue bird bath for Mother's Day, I've been waiting with longing for the lavender to bloom, and the juxtaposition of the purple with the blue is just as I dreamed it would be. I love the harmony of uh, harmonious colors. | ||||||||||||||

| This morning I was at a garden center, searching in vain for a cilantro plant, when I happened upon some Corsican Mint. I was elated!!! I love planting things that remind me of significant people in my life, and one of those people was an incredible British missionary named Swanie. She lived on Corsica for some years, and ever since learning about the groundcover named Corsican mint, I've wanted some in honor of Swanie. As you can see from the photo above, the flowers are impossibly tiny and delicate. I've planted it between the bricks of my soft-set circular patio, need to go back to the center to get some more. Now I will have a reminder of Swanie every time I sit in my Adirondack chair on the patio and sip iced tea in the shade of the big spruce. | ||||||||||||||
