Butterfly
Back to Origami Page
1) Take a square piece of paper and valley fold (towards you) corner to corner. Open out and valley fold the other diagonal corner to corner.
2) Open out and mountain fold (away from you) in half edge to edge (so it looks like a rectangle).
3) Re-crease the folds and flatten into a triangular shape with the open sides at the bottom and point up.
4) Fold the point down to meet the middle of the base.
5) Now there are 4 flaps at the bottom, 2 on each side. Fold the two top flaps up along the line of the folded-down 'point'.
6) Fold the design in half along the 'mirror line' or centre crease.
7) Fold the wings down on both sides almost to the centre crease leaving a V- fold. This is the butterfly's body.
8) Lift the wings out to an angle of 90 degrees to the body.
9) The completed butterfly!
This one is easy (which is good since I don't have any pictures)
