Went to gypsy camp. No feathers but dancing was fun.
Lord Obsidian talking about nasty demons. Told him there was a Demon just outside.
Went back and convinced Prince to come to the gypsy camp. Got poked by vindictive Demon and decided I didn't like them.
Heard nasty stuff about a vampire called von Braun of Dareen. Not good inital opinion formed.
Talked to owner of big banner with phoenix on. Says his sword is forged from phoenix tail feather. Is Baron von Braun. Oh dear.
Went outside and prayed for guidance on what to do about location of feather. No help forthcoming. Got surprised by lowly Gypsy. Avoided for rest of game.
Talked to birds. Whistle tweet tweet. Whee.
Baron von Braun made a Count.
Decided trail may just have been to get me to Berium but just in case loyalty lies with Count as owner of holy phoenix feather, as well as Prince.
Meeting to stop Dark One. Orcs in room. Not allowed to kill them. Some kind of truce. Filthy Orcs. I refuse to sit down, keep one eye on them.
Walk round in forest with some people checking out Dark One ritual sites from a map. Madwoman tries to eat scroll. I hold her off but she bites my shield. Snider eventually gets her off. Still has bite marks. Run away from madwoman in forest.
Effie and frog husband come to Inn. Rupert jumps on tentacle and lands on me. I get poisoned.
Meryldoth dissecting tentacle for two vampires. One tells people to Run in Fear! We elves are not dissuaded and try to stop them taking the tentacle, but they mist.
Sapped by group of bandits and stashed bound up in closet, with many others soon joining us. Weapons taken but they didn't get holy water, scrolls or kopeks. Go Gilthanis pouch.
Let out by Creed. Von Braun finds weapons. Have to wrestle Kiare for my sword back as she snatches it. Decide not to buy any charms off her after all.
Dark One followers attack six times. Heralds have nasty knocking down hammers. Got hit by hammers a couple of times. Knocked off road. Also went round healing people. Demon incapacitated, hah. In later battles working as good formation squad with Prince and rest of Elven party. Got poisoned a couple of times too.
Waited in woods for ages (with Prince being shiny night-light and not well hidden) Bishop wanted to talk to Dark Ones. Fishy. Didn't come though.
Went back to Inn. Took warding brew. Tasted dreadfully sandy. (Later picking bits of glass out of teeth. Scared OOC had drunk glass. Lucky to have AJ medic... told to eat bread and drink lots. Fine.)
Effie screaming in forest. Found Rupert injured. I healed him, got poisoned. Apparently Rupert was savaged by werewolf and turned into werefrog later.
Several bandit sap-and-loot attacks. Since Danae and I had warding brews, we decided to be decoys, to get the bandit. I went outside and did some more praying. Bandit didn't come for ages. Then bandit was too fast, first sap had no effect. I yelled but got hit twice and sapped again, incapacitated and knocked out. Stole weapons again. Left scrolls etc again.
When woke up from sapping, holding guts in etc., Count Von Braun dragged me into the Inn. Got healed by Acanthus. Count definitely not so bad. Maybe phoenix feather OK where it is.
Necrotaurs attacked. Was running round healing people. Dr Fidelis fell underneath monster, I dragged him out and healed him before it got up again. Necrotaur went for me. Incapacitated and had to be healed again.
Went with Baron Underwood and group to graveyard to dig up piece of dead person for Strange Brew.
Paladin appeared to Andreassa. Annoyed with her. Swatted Necrotaur with Crux Paladinus.
Nightmares appeared. Lord Obsidian gave one a taste of its own medicine. Very impressive. Sure Nightmare uneasy.
Heard someone say they could drain by touching. One came into Inn. Prince, Danae and I darting up corridor out of its way.
Went outside and saw Count von Braun hurt by nightmares. Led one away from him for five minutes by sidling away and pretending to be scared.
Went back and helped Jezi get the Count up. Will put up with demon to help Count von Braun. He was blind, had to get to Chapel. Nightmares in the way. Went into forest, undergrowth too bad, had to go back to Inn, luckily nightmares someplace else. Grabbed Prince Megilindar and party, all went down to Chapel.
Nightmare coming down road. While Guard organising themselves Prince tells me to cast Astral Recall. So we Recall back to Inn.
Captain finds us drinking in Inn. Slightly miffed. Silly human.
Then saw tuis singing in the big kanuka outside the bathroom of the Inn - a male all puffed up and singing lustily to a female on the next branch. Then another three females turned up one after another to listen to the male, who was puffing and blowing and singing his little heart out. Two of the females flew off together. He was not happy but kept singing to his other two tui ladies. Then another flew off, leaving the poor male with only one female, singing as though his heart would break. Finally the last female flew off. The male chased her to the next tree then gave up and sulked.
Went into inn and Amandel told Prince Megilindar the story of the tuis.
Order of Erana brought Staff to Berium. Andreassa made Priestess of Erana.
Guys in spiky helmets come. Must keep Danae away from them. Stood between her and door for while. Told her if I wasn't allowed to attack Orcs she wasn't allowed to attack him.
Prince and Idril with Danae, sent me to find Brim in forest with Amandel. Stayed with him while Amandel went to check situation. Then went back to Inn.
Brim and Danae confront this new spike-helmeted Count who claims dominion over Mordavia. Am standing behind Danae holding her back. Count von Braun and Carlyn say is borderline treason but not total. Brim must find patent of nobility, taken by Orcs. Goody, get to kill Orcs now?
Go outside to look for scroll. Orcs outside, apparently not allowed to kill them. Truce still in effect. Stupid truce.
Scroll not at Gypsy Camp, Brim and guard go off to look in forest. Danae wants to go but must stay with Prince Megilindar and rest of us. Spiky Count and retainers go off to the north.
Danae sneaks off to the Chapel to catch up with Brim. When we realise she's not there (I check Inn, even toilets) we race after her. Catch her at Chapel, she comes back with us, having seen Brim is safe and Creed assures her the guard will look after him.
Gypsy woman channeling spirit of Erana. Apparently is direct descendant of Erana. So Erana was gypsy (and apparently didn't die a virgin after all)
Brim finds his Patent of Nobility. Can now challenge spiky Count.
Looked in chapel for Last Words of Erana. Found Letter of Erana on tree but apparently not what looking for. Prince Megilindar found them after an hour of about twenty people searching. Go Elven eyesight. Something about Werewolf, only saw it briefly. Big and hairy.
Words of Erana came with scroll - only read by White Adept - about sacrificing soul to close portal.
Leaving lunch half finished, raced off into woods to forestall the last Attack of Dark One Followers - portal opened, things coming out. Marched down road to woods, through woods to portal, with about 5 battles. Mostly stayed out of those as was protecting Prince Megilindar and Andreassa who had the scroll.
Into side arm of battle, near portal. Most followers charge straight out, can hit sides as go past. Andreassa does Wild Evade, throws stone into portal, then we charge in and protect her.
I did a lot of healing in this set of battles. People had no armour left. I'd see them start to sag and grab them, gabbling healing spell. Or see them hit and heal them.
Last stone not going into portal. Problem. Dark One followers still coming out.
Andreassa reads scroll, collapses. Tried to heal her and stopped halfway when realised what she'd done. We dragged her body out of the road.
Portal still there. We started chanting Erana's name, then Andreassa's as well.
Portal closed. Game over.
