Upon Stepping Back

The urge is great,
And daily grows;
Soon, its old gate
Will let the flows
Of desire
Rip from within,
And its fire
Will take our sin
And destroy us.
It is torture
To restrain us;
We must endure
The suffering:
What can it do
To us but bring
Our lives into
The Hands of God?
And on that day,
By will of God,
We�ll join�His way.
