Rise of Rush
Shawn Thornburg
They found him down and watched him go,
And now in pew they hope with woe;
They honor him with heads bowed low:
They know the stricken, love him so.
And now they walk from that known spot,
But do their hearts forget his thought?
They do not now nor had they ought:
They must walk on, for he cannot.
The fallen will not life forsake;
He will live on and he will wake;
And when he does, death-bonds will break;
Then Pearly Gates his soul will take.
And they who cry for him will hush,
And they will see the rise of Rush.
